ok, I installed it to main memory, on my today screen it just keeps alternating between "starting Xcast" and "Trying to update Xcast" every couple of seconds...

also, when I bring up the display meny, I have 6 "blank" options and then exit... thats it.

ok, reading on the other the treo forum where you posted this, I was able to get this working. had to turn off my wireless, and then establish a connection by firing up internet explorer, then it updated and the display menu filled in....

ok, I had it working... this morning it is back to cycling between the starting xcast/updating xcast messages. I can't get it back to showing me the weather :-(

XCast "cycles" when I charge my 6800 using the USB cable. I think it is trying to get the data through an internet connection on my PC, but it is not working. It would be nice if I could control this behavior.

I take XCast off my Today screen when I am connected. I am hoping this means that XCast is no longer trying to update. Is that the case? I ask because the weather data appears almost instantaeously after I remove the UBB plug.

is this project dead i assume?
i tried softreset, turning wireless off, data on/off with no dice.. anyone?
