Data Roaming Error

Ok so I am listing this as a software thing cuz im not sure what else to label it ... basically I have Sprint and at first it wasn't annoying, but now I have classes where all the phone does is this: When there is no coverage or there is only roaming, the vision services continue to try keeping the connection alive. How do I get this thing to stop vibrating to kingdom come or making all sorts of noise every 5 seconds because it can't connect ... I know it can't connect, it doesn't need to bother me to tell me so ... any hack to just get rid of this error message appearing?
