SPB Shell Registration Help

I have a registration code for SPB Shell 2.1 already and I do know how to register it.

What I would like to know is does anyone know where or how the registration code is stored on the phone once entered so I can back that file/registry up and cook it into a ROM.

Thanks,

Dan.

Re: SPB Shell Registration Help

I'm going to be flashing my 700WX soon and was looking for the reg codes for the four SPB products I have. I found out that SPB keeps track of the reg code associated with your particular purchase. Go to the SPB website (www.spbsoftwarehouse.com), click on support, and go to serial number recovery. Enter the email you used to purchase your app and they will send your current reg code for your product.

Thanks but I already knew about that service. What I really want to know is where my serial number is stored on my device after I successfully register the Program.

Basically if there is a dll file that gets dropped in the windows folder or a registry entry deep in the registry somewhere or anything like that, I would like to know so I can consistently register my SPB Shell on flash and re-flash and so on...

Basically I'm saying that I'm lazy and don't want to have to register it every single time I flash a new ROM and I do that almost daily.

Re: SPB Shell Registration Help

I would like to know this same thing. I am very tired of re-entering my registration code each time i cook a new rom.

Re: SPB Shell Registration Help

I found some directions over at XDA that helped me find where it is.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/arch.../t-412613.html

here is the .RGU entry you need:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{783AC566-6E9F-41A4-8B5C-C5728C204E51}]
"SIPFlag2"="XXXXXXXXXXX"

obviously replace the XXXXXXXXXXX with your correct registration #.

Also, bear in mind that was found with SPB Mobile Shell 2.1.2. the specific reg key may change between versions (or not).

I've also placed my OEM of it on the ftp site. look in /Titan/Users/Pir8Man/
