Well, I just wrote it yesterday, so I haven't had time to determine fully the effect on battery. It polls every ten seconds or so. I ran acbpowermeter and didn't see a noticeable change when running this and without.

It shouldn't have much impact at all on battery life.

Hay Yuma hows about some larger text for us old blind people. The animation stopped this morning I just used the dialog box to start it again. other than that this is a great alternative to the HTChomeplug. As long as I am requesting hows about the ability to stop and hold on one thing like I would like to have the battery show all the time than sometimes start the animation so I can check all the different items.

Good ideas, BigD5. I'll see how big I can get the font, maybe another option being a big font, while all other options remain the same. I'll also look at a way to stop the animation on a particular item.

Coming soon:
PeraProfiler - Change volume, ringer? (maybe), BT on/off, Cell radio on/off, WiFi on/off. Menu similar to PeraStats to select desired profile. PeraCount - SMS, Email, Missed Call, Vmail counts PeraSuite - The above 2 plus PeraStats all scrolling the way PeraStats does. I realize there are other products (like Phone Alarm) out there that do these things, but I'm having fun, and figure someone may be able to use these things.

Nice work. You may look into Treo Alert as it does the battery and memory scroll as well as the missed calls, sms, email and vmails. You can get some ideas from their mortscripts.
