what do you mean no dice?
it should work 100%
if you have the stock task manager open, it won't update that showing that activesync was closed, and do remember that it runs everything 30secs, meaning that it won't close immediately.....
it will only close it when the program runs....

edit: is the rom 4.2 mortscript? if not, then you'll have to upgrade, not sure if I used commands that are compatible with older versions or not. never programmed for the old versions.

Re: The True Active Sync Fix (New Fix Created By Me)

wow, cody, alot of work, seems a tad redundant. there's notifications by default to start activesync (repllog.exe) on rs232, RndisFn, and Time change (time changes via the cell tower often)

the best way to kill activesync is disabling those notifications (which can be done with mortscript) and not using it. I've been quite happy for over a year without it. although I also dumped outlook about the same time.

This is a mortscript script. ;)
Its suppose to not touch the exe that runs in the background needed for push mail.
I just wanted to create something for myself,
and figured I'd release it as every activesync solution I found messed with push mail.
And figured if even one other person used it,
it was worth posting. ;)

oh, I applaud the effort, but my way doesn't effect pushmail, and I never see activesync open. :) (but I did remove it from my pc too.)

I've never been too happy with activesync and when m$ started requiring purchasing outlook for simple contact backup, I gave up. (all my previous ppc's came with a full version of outlook.)

AHA! The ROM has 3.5 for mortscript. It does show in task mgr but CPU usage is 0%

eh, my way is better,
claimed to be so by me. :D:D
I just figured I'd release it for everyone else to use this too.
I'm making a script to launch all of my scripts at certain times and what not,
like one to backup my texts and delete them all, and all kinds of other times, so this is kinda the basis of that.

but still, it's the best activesync solution,
didn't you read my signature???? :D:D:D:D

I wonder if it's running then.....
Hmmm.
Some of the commands might not be backwards compatible...

And the script isn't even 1kb big,
so it wouldn't show really any cpu ussage.

I don't think it is. After further looking apparently it doesn't work for me.

I tried installing this and it puts nothing in the start up folder or utilities.

Re: The True Active Sync Fix (New Fix Created By Me)

Looked over my ROM selections and according to that I have the 4.3 installed. I have only tried the 30 sec version so I guess I'll try 'em one by one till I see something happen.
