Streaming media?

I'm streaming a police scanner feed on my computer using windows media encoder, I'm trying to make sure everything is up and working by using my diamond...well hell I'd like to use my diamond when I'm away from home to listen to it as well. Problem is neither streaming media nor Windows media player allows me to enter an Http://xxx.xxx.x.xxxx address is there any software that let's me do that?

Re: Streaming media?

Have you tried using Kinoma freeplay along with Orb? I'm not too familiar with using it myself, but i know many people here use them to stream live TV. And what you're trying to do seems similar in concept, so it might work.

Re: Streaming media?

So is this the right one for a 6.5 rom? I've only ever had this work right from a browser on a recent rstoyguy rom...cooked in. It took me hours just to find this cab...searching and going through posts. I found a zip of files that are needed to add to the windows folder so now it kicks over to streaming media and times out as well as runs looking like its not for VGA device. Any ideas anyone?
