Question: how do you install apps that don't have a *.cab
 

Sometimes I dl an app and the app is a bunch of files with a single Opera file. (the icon is an Opera icon) How do you install these files? Do you just copy them into your program files directory?

Ok, I didn't explain well enough last time. When you have a app you have downloaded and it comes with a setup.xml file. what do you do with that?

If it's not a .cab, then it's an .exe file. In this case, you need to connect your PPC to your PC via ActiveSync/WMDC and and run the .exe file. It will then install to your device

GeekCop is right, thats the only way I have found to install these types of files...I don't really like having to rely on Active Sync, but, untill we find an onboard installer for these files, I think we're stuck lol

Run the exe on your computer,
and then you can go to c:\Program Files\Microsoft Activesync\
on your computer and retrieve the cab from there.

you probably downloaded an "OEM" or files in a cab, and the setup.xml is read during install, so basically all the files need to be together.
Without anymore info, it's anyones guess.
I would go to where U got it and find out what it is supposed to be(cab or OEM or installer).
If there is an install exe, tap it and see what happens, but keep tham all in one folder.
