Yeah on my mogul I put it in sleep mode as soon as I start the trip and it doesn't affect my tracking. I did have problems with the uploads though after the last version but I just reuploaded them again per the instructions and they are now showing up correctly.

I'm not affiliated with Sportypal. I've just become a big fan of the app and site since this thread started.

I have been giving them alot of feedback with regards to my trips and bugs i've encountered. They have been great with responding to me.

You're off the WOD, where? Got a bike? If so i've been looking for someone to ride with on the weekdays.

Cool man, I'm on a matte black GT roadie with neon yellow lettering with a red camelpak. Damn you ARE hardcore cuz that's what I've been biking. I'll go either east or west from Hendon 10 miles then back. Although on the weekends i'll do my longer runs. Did Herndon to old town this past weekend. And a few weekends ago did Herndon to Purceville and back 55 miles. **** is NO joke!

Let me know if or when you get that bike so we can roll.:headbang:

EDIT: LOL, I thought you said running between 20-24 miles!! Haha

interesting thread, I might just have to try sporty, thought I'd let you know about another free tracker GPSToday, their website is http://www.geoterrestrial.com/ . I haven't figured out how to get distance from tracking yet, but it has lots of good features. Check it out! It's really fast but not so intuitive. Apparently only the standalone version is working properly right now, not the plugin. I'll be interested in seeing any feedback you might have.

I can't get this to work on my TP. It hangs at initializing GPS.

On other GPS programs, I usually need to set the program to look for the GPS on COM4, but I don't see any such option here.

Any ideas?

I didnt have to set anything up. As long as your GPS ia set to be managed auto (com4,baud 4800) you should be good to go...look in the TP Gps settings...

Nice 60 miles. I sometimes notice that my line will be off by like 20 to 10 yards at times. Maybe cuz of the faster speed on a bike?? Not sure. Hope they fix that. Other then that it iis pretty accurate. Although I did lose 8 miles on one bad workout file that I deleted off the site and tried to reup and couldn't. Then my gps messed up on another long ride and i ended up losing like 10 miles. Othewise i'd be number one at the top 10 right now. I think i'm 4th right now but still got yesterdays workout I haven't put up yet and tomorrow doing another 16 miles to the BBQ pit so I might be number 1 by tomorrow. Ric "Da Rula". Haha
