Re: WM6.5 and Outlook OWA (MS Exchange)

Unfortunately I am not the server admin and my company is huge. All IT support is handled through corporate administration back east somewhere. And there really are no "people" to call for help. Just go online and open a ticket and the next drone will assist you. There are several layers to the IT support and getting someone to help is dream worthy. As far as getting the actual certificate off the server or having them purchase a new one is impossible and will never happen.

Yes the server is in production and used by over 10,000 employees nationwide.

All I can say is wow... 10K Users and they can't add a proper SSL cert...

Do you get certificate errors in IE Mobile and/or IE on a comp?

Yeah imagine that. Check my avatar, one big company.

I get the errors in Mobile Outlook only. The Exchange server works for both mobile and PC access to OMA and OWA, just not the Mobile Outlook OWA access. Shoot, now I'm confused.

Re: WM6.5 and Outlook OWA (MS Exchange)

So I'm having problems Setting up my exchange account. I have taken it to the IT department and when I try to sync it get this error..."Exchange active sync encountered a problem. If the problem persist, please call your system administrator." The support code I get is 8x8510014.

I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for a solution? Thanks in advance.

QUESTION: Has anyone gotten WM6.5 to connect to OWA Exchange servers?

Sprint Mogul/Titan running stock WM6.1 from HTC.
Exchange server is 2003.
*Yes the server is setup correctly to allow my mobile device to connect.
I was having similar problems where some roms worked and others did not. Go here this worked for the Roms that originally did not sync OTA.

Re: WM6.5 and Outlook OWA (MS Exchange)

Update: Well I've been playing with the certificate and finally got it to work. Weird thing is that I have no idea how to repeat the process because I was trying so many different things.

Re: WM6.5 and Outlook OWA (MS Exchange)

I have a HTC 6800 with Windows Mobile 6 Professional and as of a few weeks ago my Active Sync with Exchange quit working. I tried the a few things on listed in here and had no luck. The Error code I am getting is 0x85010004. Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this? Thanks...

Re: WM6.5 and Outlook OWA (MS Exchange)

I havent read this whole thread yet, just the first post, but I wanted to add that I have my Samsung Omnia connected to my company exchange email, and I have a cooked ROM with 6.5 on it. I also had it connected when I had 6.1 on the stock Omnia Rom..

Usually what I do is set it up manually through the email settings, and then I go into Active Sync (on my phone) and press sync. It usually doesnt work the first couple of times but eventually when I press sync it will pop up with some message about my company requiring some security certificate or something, and i have to press ok. Once that pops up, it will sync everything properly and Ill be good to go from there.

Re: WM6.5 and Outlook OWA (MS Exchange)

We recently went from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 and my Sprint HTC Touch Pro ( stock wm6.1) stopped syncing with exchange.
Recently I flashed my phone to WM6.5 and it all started working again.

I believe this has something to do with the stock security certificates.

One place to start looking is here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l.../cc182295.aspx

Hope that helps, the other option is to upgrade to WM6.5
