Stock ticker?

I installed it, and it says the today plugin is enabled, but I'm not seeing it.
Is there something else I need to do?

Edit - Nevermind, I had installed to ext. rom, and moved it to main. Now it works!

Okay, now I've added three stocks, but this is all I get in the today screen plug in. The choice to activate or deactivate, but not the stocks?

The default start and end times for autoupdates are 7AM to 1PM (I really shoulda changed this to midnight to 11PM by default, note to self for next rev), so since it's after that, it's won't stay activated until you go into the app and change the start/end times to what you want.

Changed start and end, only shows the same as above. Guess it won't work for me.

Downloaded PocketSportsCenter and works great. Had to mess around w/ it a little so i knew wat everything did. After messing around/changing the settings a few times and soft resetting it a few times everything works good. I took a screen shot of the NFL ticker, even though the games haven't started i love how it shows the time of the upcoming games..



One thing i did wanna know is, is there anyway to turn off live update and still have the ticker go through each team. 'cause when i leave the auto updater off it just says "PocketSportsCenter" on the today screen, instead of it cycling through the teams...

Once you changed the start and end times, on the today screen tap the line and choose Activate autoupdates or choose enable autoupdates in the app itself and it should start working

Will have to look into adding this as another option.

Did that, and nothing, just says autoupdates activated, nothing else. Yet if I go into the settings I can see the full stock quote, nothing happens on today screen though.

hmm... does it change back to autoupdates deactivated or does it just hang as activated...?

Can you let me know what you set the start and end times to?

If it is just hanging as activated, let's try this. Click on the plugin and set it to deactivated.

Then, in a file explorer (like the stock one or resco explorer), navigate to the Pocket StockCenter folder. In there, click on the Mortscript.exe file. A small message window will open and you can just click ok to close it. Once that's done, go back to the today screen and try to reactivate autoupdates and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks scottymomo, 'cause a selection for "manual update" would b great, so that way i can update the scores when ever i wanted, (like thurs night, sat night, sund night and then again mond. night) so that way i get the scroes for the week and then it can just cycle through the info it has till i update again. I'll keep an eye on the post.... def. a great app. love how it even displays the teams even when the phone is locked (in the first pic on my previous post) LOVE IT!!

Catman... keep messing w/ the script, even though the ticker is for stocks (as to my download being for sports) i'm sure they work the same way and I had a little trouble getting the cycle to work, the ticker to work and such... but after a few tries and soft resets everything was working good.

I even have another script (thanks to emunutz) which changed the carrier name to anything i wanted, and i put that in the phone a few days before this script and that still works w/ the sports update.

but yea, soft resets and messing w/ the script and hopefuly it'll b good.
