here... with the mogul you can install all 3 and should have no problems with tcpmp (although it will load videos in streaming media, so you don't really need tcpmp).... if you are using a vogue with the new update and want tcpmp please use the revised for 6.1 version...

remember, install 838Pro first, don't reset, then RvBcrs, then you can reset if you don't want tcpmp

it works with the mobile youtube site m.youtube.com

hey thanks for the link. i downloaded your vogue setup cab on my kaiser tilt and went to the default browser. typed up youtube annd was redirected to m.youtb. clicked a video link and walla it works. it did not load up tcmp but media streamer v3.0h. it ran great. by the way i am running a cook rom ported from diamondwm6.1 i hope this helps anyone looking for a solution. if tcmp isnt for you then try another free software. like vtap. search vtap for ppc.

this method isn't suppose to use tcpmp, i just threw it in there because its the most useful free media player.

glad it worked for you and Mr_Beefy

unfortunately, for all i know, the streaming media technique with the 2 cab files is only good for m.youtube.com... doesn't seem to work with anything else. :(

this will work with any service provider... just put the cabs on a storage card, run the cabs and install to device.

don't soft reset until all is installed.. than reset and youre good to go

Thanks but that sucks. Well when I try to go to quicksilvercreen or veoh etc I will click 'play video' and it just goes 'link is not valid'. The only website in the 'video sites' that i've gotten to work is youtube. HELP! BTW i have the htc mogul

Re: Full YouTube/Google Video Access-Updated 1/24/2008

Just a suggestion that finally worked for me... I tap and hold on the video in youtube and when menu pops up I choose "Open" and there I'm given choice to play or save video. Another option in the menu is to select "Save Image". From there I can choose to download the video or to open file (play video) after download. Hope that helps.

I am experiencing the same error (This video link is not valid) for both playing and saving videos regardless on how many time I install/reinstall or hard reset.

Re: Full YouTube/Google Video Access-Updated 1/24/2008

Issue #1: Saved videos are choppy

Issue #2: fullscreen is not working.

I had used TCPMP on a Touch w/WM6.0 on the player's default settings with no problem. After upgrading to 6.1 & using the newer TCPMP (TCPMP-0.72RC1-ARM-PPC-recomp-03.CAB) on default settings, video is severely choppy when playing from a saved file. Streaming is ok, not great. The files I'm trying to play are .flv files saved thru TCPMP/Flash video bundle.

Also, when I hit the fullscreen button, the screen freezes but audio continues. If I tap the screen, it comes back to window mode no problem.

After switching from directdraw to raw video it seems to work fine now. Am I missing anything by not having directdraw as an option?

Is there an optimal configuration for a Touch running 6.1?

Many thanks.

if you only use youtube, the other setup with separate cab files will stream videos with basically perfect smoothness, but it only works for youtube and utilizes streaming media, not tcpmp... quality is a little less than tcpmp, but you will not get choppy video during stream

Re: Full YouTube/Google Video Access-Updated 1/24/2008

Alright...i've formulated a workaround for the 'video link' error. Its not as easy as the one-two click, but it provides the end result: streaming or saved video. I've gotten it to work and my method requires Core Player (i have 1.2.5 build 4506) and Opera (i have 9.5 build 1184 from the kitchen).
Step 1: Go to desired site IN OPERA, not pie
Step 2: navigate to desired video
Step 3: press and hold link 'download this video'
Step 4: choose 'copy link location'
Step 5: go to Core Player then file/open url
Step 6: paste url, press ok

Viola! your video should load..if you want to save the video; paste link location into the address bar and it should prompt you to save. Disclaimer: i've only used this method in quicksilverscreen and joox, though i do have a slightly more complicated workaround if need be. Hope it works for ya!

if your video in tcpmp is choppy change your video settings to GDI or raw. do not select direct draw

Try uninstalling both files, do a soft reset, reinstall both (making sure to put them in the same location), then do another soft reset.

Report back.

there is a tcpmp for 6.1 ... it might even be in this thread.. try searching this thread title then clicking on the <files> link rather than entering the thread, thatll pull up all attatched files in this thread and its called vogue-tcpmp-6.1 or somethin like that.. its there like 4th or 5th one down

This is the best thing that I've installed yet! I've been using it for a few months now and figured that I'd leave a comment. It works great, props 2 coz! just wish there were more sites to choose from seeing that some sites offered, are not active anymore. Is there an update for it yet or someway to access new sites???

Re: Full YouTube/Google Video Access-Updated 1/24/2008

I recently swapped moguls because the touch screen and buttons wounldnt always work and the video i watched would stop and restart from the beginning on its on. I'm on my second mogul with the latest updates and redownloaded the software. No matter what I do for basic resets or deletions, the video still restarts by itself and i cant always get veoh to load properly, plus i still cant search that website or when i am scrolling down the pages, it'll select all the images and blink in and out till reset the phone. Is there anyway that this program will be updated to work better with the new mogul updates, or quit freaking my phone out? I saw the youtube file, but I watch everything off VEOH. is there another program or a way to download the VEOH tv watcher program to my phone. I dont have a computer either so I need help if ther is a way.

if you are using the 3 step process and not the flashvideo bundle, u must go to m.youtube.com which is the mobile version.
