I loaded DCD 1.08 rom. On My TPro, it would not accept the send(hold) button during setup. So i used the Home(hold) to complete the install. Installed fine. Went back and reassign so that i use the Send(hold) button, works like a charm.

I hold, "listening" window pops up, and i give command. so far two days in it only opens Stock WM programs. For some reason I cant get it to open 3rd party applications. It wants to search online for apps it does not recognize but u just exit out of page. Dial commands work fine too.

The "send message to" function is worth the install. Even if i have to use voice command for opening 3rd party programs.

*** If you dont mind flashing to DCD 1.08 ROM. I say give it a try. I was using the sms command all day Sunday.

Cant wait to get a full working version.

Ugh, I spoke to soon. I tried reinstalling it last night and I cant get it to work. When I get to the set up part, where it asks you to do Search for Tickets, nothing pops up. I have tried everything, I dont know how the heck I got it to set up the first time...

Aww, fudge. I figured out why Vlingo wasnt working. It is s2u2, as soon as I turned it off, it worked. how am I going to choose between the two???

Edit: I stand corrected, even though I got it finally set up to listen to me when I press Menu, afterward I kept getting error messages and it kept freezing up my phone. i know its a beta and all, but when you cant get it to function at ALL, that is just ridiculous

I have been trying to get this to work for a while now with my Verizon Touch Pro. I got it to work now!!

I am running DCD 1.11 rom. I followed the tip from delawaresace in post #44, and IT WORKS NOW!! I will test now and post back. Currently set to just the home button, but I will play with the button settings, too.

It still seems to be hit or miss...some versions work on my NRG 6.5 rom his latest build. I hope it will get to the level of vlingo on my TP gets as good as it works on my BBerry.

I loaded the FIXED .cab onto my WM6.1 i760, and I have received the same Button ??? loop. I have assigned all four of my button options with no success. Anyone have any luck on a phone like my old clunker? =D

vlingo works perfectly with my
tp2 use the fixed cab. then map it to holding down send key

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but out of some boredom, I decided to try vlingo (fixed cab) on my TP running DCDs 2.27 rom and it works wonderfully. Actually much better than tellme. I just mapped it to the home key and it's been flawless with texting, emails, web search and voice dialing. I cant believe how accurate its been with translating my speech to text. Wish I woulda tried this months ago.

Unfortunately to send the texts by voice you need vlingo plus? I can get it to type, but not send. Booooo...
