I loaded a old rom that had keymapping for the keyboard txt key and it worked, but only to get rid of the nag, it still wouldn't function. meaning it never seemed to listen to my voice.

same here, button mapped fine when installed on device (Vouge running Sprint released 6.1) but never recognized voice. Looking through registry it maps the location of the speaker, wonder if the location of the microphone needs to be added???? anyone happen to know the location? I searched registry with no luck :(

I have it "working" on my Omnia with CC20 and Adryn's 6.1 1.6 ROM. I had to disable AEButtonPlus handling the main menu to get it going. I haven't played with it much as it blows up with exceptions for most requests.

It's beta-ness is showing for sure.

i got vlingo to work with 6.5. I'm using DCD 1.08 rom that comes with a new 4 button option setting. i had to set it to the home button first (not home(hold))and that got me to complete the setup. i'm off to a BBQ now so i'll update here tomorrow. finally speech to txt on my Pro :)

I have the CC20 rom on my Omnia, and I got it to install by putting it on my device memory. On storage memory it would say that I hadnt mapped the key correctly, although I had. Im not sure what to think of it though. It seems to disable my voice assistance on my Omnia, which I liked to have because it reads our caller id info on incoming calls, and even sender and subject lines on new emails. Plus I dont like the fact that the web searches will make IE pop up, instead of whatever you have as your default browser. Add to that the fact that it lags when there isnt much signal, and Im not sure if it's worth it yet. I may try reinstalling it again and see if I change my mind

I loaded DCD 1.08 rom. On My TPro, it would not accept the send(hold) button during setup. So i used the Home(hold) to complete the install. Installed fine. Went back and reassign so that i use the Send(hold) button, works like a charm.

I hold, "listening" window pops up, and i give command. so far two days in it only opens Stock WM programs. For some reason I cant get it to open 3rd party applications. It wants to search online for apps it does not recognize but u just exit out of page. Dial commands work fine too.

The "send message to" function is worth the install. Even if i have to use voice command for opening 3rd party programs.

*** If you dont mind flashing to DCD 1.08 ROM. I say give it a try. I was using the sms command all day Sunday.

Cant wait to get a full working version.

Ugh, I spoke to soon. I tried reinstalling it last night and I cant get it to work. When I get to the set up part, where it asks you to do Search for Tickets, nothing pops up. I have tried everything, I dont know how the heck I got it to set up the first time...

Aww, fudge. I figured out why Vlingo wasnt working. It is s2u2, as soon as I turned it off, it worked. how am I going to choose between the two??? :(

Edit: I stand corrected, even though I got it finally set up to listen to me when I press Menu, afterward I kept getting error messages and it kept freezing up my phone. i know its a beta and all, but when you cant get it to function at ALL, that is just ridiculous
