Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0 vs. TouchFlo
I loaded mobile shell and found the customization options of the new version nice. It kind of reminds me of my days with a Mogul and Wisebar.
I just couldn't get used to MS as a TF3D replacement. I like being able to read text/ email message previews and play music from TF. MS just cant compete with TF's music player. And I've set my left home key in TF to start new text messages, couldn't quite figure that one out in MS without clicking a few buttons. I tried running both but for some reason MS completely disables TF.. I went into today settings and TF is unchecked.. recheck TF3D.. nothing, softreset.. nothing. It may be the custom rom I'm running, not sure. MS has come a long way, this is the closest I've come to finding a replacement for TF but not quite yet. |

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0 vs. TouchFlo
I'm running SPB Mobile Shell on a Touch Pro with Mighty Rom 5. It's real smooth. I like it more than TF3d because of the ease of customizing the home screen. But one thing I really miss, like others have states, is the ability to preview email and test messages.

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0 vs. TouchFlo
I installed the MS and I am not sure about it. I have a touch pro and it seems a little slow to load. Then again I was used to version 2.

As for the comparison. I think one thing we need to keep in mind is that SB3 just came out so it probably will have some growing pains. |

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0 vs. TouchFlo
Here's my 2 cents- The graphics are good, the user interface is nice, the simple fact that I can't EASILY customize the screens and layout as I see fit is crap! I am really disappointed in SPB especially considering their general quality of work in past works. Now I know there is a way around this, but that's not the point. The point is that if I wanted something that was not flexible at all, I'd get an iphone. I really wish they would fix this...
