Idiot Needs Help

I have the New Sprint Mogul and have been reading this thread diligently. I am running mobile 6 professional. I installed the file for the home plug-in 6, unzipped the file, and all that could be done was install the .cab file. I have the new look, but am unable to find themes. I keep seeing individuals post information about the homecust.exe file, and I cannot find any such file anywhere. I'd be happy with one of the default blue sky files, but unfortunately I'm stuck. Please help

if you want color themes and what not goto pocketpcscreens.com and use the theme to make .tsk files. then just load them on your storage card and there you go.

i got it to work.you need to used v.06 of the customizer. download the zip using your mogul and unzip all files to wherever you want.then u should see the homecust in the folder where everything was extracted !

You DO NOT need to use v0.6. Also, the zip file for the customizer should be extracted to a PC first, then the extracted folder should be transferred to your device. Most zip/unzip programs for PPC will not extract the files and folder structure properly leaving you with corrupt and/or missing files. Actually there are only two changes between v0.6 and v0.7:

1. The Home plugin installer package was removed, links to the installers are in the first post in this thread.

2. The program will now add a registry entry for the alternate weather server.

If there is genuinely a problem with v0.7, I would love to fix it for the next release. The only real issue that I've seen is with people not using their PC to extract the Home Customizer.

Does 0.7 not work with the 3-tab version for WM5?

I have the 3-tab installed on my 700wx, and when I run the homecust.exe file, it says there is no Home Plugin installed, and it quits.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

If you are having problems running the app or you do not have any sets when you go into the Appearance option, then yes you should unzip from the computer and transfer the resulting folder to your device. I have tested this method on several devices and not had a single problem that way. As long as you have the Home plugin installed beforehand, everything should go smooth.
