Does Live Search Work For Anyone?
 

I used to depend heavily on this app to find places, and to get directions. But lately I've found that it doesn't work. Searches are usually off, usually giving unrelated results, or results halfway across the country and it can't seem to find any addresses. I thought it was just me on my TP, but my sister has the same issue on her Q9C. Is this a know issue and is there a fix anyone is aware of? ](*,)


These are Stock ROMS BTW.

I have always had great success with Live Search. What version are you using?

Oddly i have found the live search does that from time to time. I have had the app stop working correctly for a few days and then i just started reseting it and it worked fine. i havent had any such issues in months.

I have the latest, 4.1.2029.1, and it's been broken for weeks. Damn, this is odd.

Ditto here. I tried looking up a friend a few weeks ago, and couldn't find her. Tried to find other things that used to be easily found, no go. Weird.

Uninstall that version and install the version I posted here. This is the previous version. See how that works.

I have been having problems with the past 2 or 3 releases... I used to be able to type a street address and a zip code and it would find it, now I try to even find a town, and it tells me it can't find xxxxx near my location. all searches, even when trying to find a new location, search near whatever location it is currently set for, making driving directiosn impossible.
even if I manage to get the location set to the town I want, it still won't find a street address. I have pretty much stopped using it completely at this point.

works perfectly for me, just found me a chinese resturant to order dinner from :mrgreen:

Live Search was installed in rom on my device. (omnia i910) When I updated to a newer version, it became all funked up...bad search results or none. I uninstalled and the older version worked fine.
