- Hard reset to stock rom strongly recommended! but not required I installed from of my HD port.
- Go to start/settings/system/power/advanced/ and uncheck all boxes. Go back later after full install and reset to what you want
- Install net cf 3.5 or have a rom with net cf 3.5 built into it. I used my stock rom with the HD port already installed and seems to be fine so far.
- Install "xbmod policy.cab" from the "Required" folder to the device, NOT the storage card, this goes for all the cabs.
- Turn off TF3D in settings and do a manual soft reset.
- Install "XBmod VGA Rhodium Manila.cab" to the device. This cab takes a while to load, be patient, then hit "OK" to restart.
- It may seem a little disfunctional between installs, just be patient till the end.
- Install HTC New Contact Card.cab then click "OK" to restart.
- Now go into settings and turn on TF3D.
- You may want to install some of the cabs from the "Optional" or "Manila Tweak" folder and I will report on these cabs later.
-Delete the My device/Application Data/HTC/databases/forecast_cache.db file BEFORE you use the weather tab.
-Go to the settings tab and click on "Customize Tabs" and you can turn on or off the tabs as you like and rearrange them.
-At this point your new TF3D port form Touch Pro 2 should work perfect and before you load programs or customize go get familar with it, then you can begin to customize.
-You can now go back and correct your power settings to what you desire.

wewre you able to install the notifications cab? i get a digitally signed error and wont install..any ideas?

It's sound like the port might be a good way to preview, for those who might want to try it in a custom ROM.

The developers were often saying things worked better on newer builds. I'm a little surprised they got it working on stock ROMs.

1 Attachment(s)
another thing. the diamond 2 sdk does work n=and it rotates manila fine. however even with jmz's sensor cab manila is not included on the rotation list. u must add it manually. when u add it its called manila2.

to make it very simple install this program, (its pretty easy to use and figure out) and add manila to the list

I am going to take a look to see if they compressed the graphics....this can make a big difference.

Initial Impressions

-Phone is definitely slower, but I know for a fact it's due to not being cooked it, it destroyed my free memory from cab installing(went from 72ish to like 22..)

Fix: ROM cooker simply OEMs it in.

-GSensor auto rotate seems to be not functioning still, will install changescreen like I did on the 90% done.

Fix: Tried enabling "AutoRotation" in registry, nothing. Tried JMZ's cab for diamond2, nothing. No fix yet. Supposably though, the Diamond2 SDK will work.

-Contact tab now works, however clicking on a name results in Manila
reloading.
After reading a bit: It seems if you have Beta Rhodium cooked in, then install Cabs over it, Contacts Tab will work. If you're installing over a regular or HD manila, contacts tab will crash.

Workaround: Either go to Phone tab and activate your contacts from there(will use default WM contacts tab), or use your current favorites(for some reason that loads into TF3D contact tab fine)

-Manila graphics are a bit bigger than you may be used to, especially from the HD Manila most of us are accustomed to.

Fix: It's not an issue, just something I noticed.

-World Clock is a tiny bit bigger than it should be in Landscape, but works perfectly in Portrait

Fix: Simply wait for XBmod to clean this up.

-Internet tab links in Landscape run off a bit on the right, but they're clickable and still work great, again perfect in Portrait

Fix: Simply wait for XBmod to clean this up.

-Music tab looks and works perfect in Landscape, was an issue before.

Fix: Not an issue.

-Customize tabs is not functioning correctly in landscape, checkboxes are cut off, but portrait again works fine.

Fix: Wait for XBmod to clean this up, or just use Portrait...

-New TF3D SMS looks beautiful and loads fine, however on any attempt to send a message it will give you an error "SIM isn't inserted into the phone."

Workaround: Because I can't exactly imagine a fix for no SIM card on CDMA, the work around is to just hit "All Messages" or "Inbox" on Messages/Email tab, this will load it into default WM messaging.

-TF3D Call History works great in Landscape/Portrait

Fix: No issues.

-Programs tab isn't working for me. I tried to install the Cab, didn't work, oddly.

Fix: Not really sure why this isn't working, I'd watch over at XDA. Workaround is to just use Start -> Programs

-Adding new favorites isn't functioning.

Fix:
Alright, it's kind of working. It's not allowing me to add pictures, but it added the person

-Launching manila in Landscape mode seemed to cause it to freak out.

Workaround: Launch it in portrait.

Overall so far: Rhodium TF3D basically covers up all of the ugly WM interfaces and replaces them with beautiful finger friendly flowing interfaces, however it is buggy, but is a very solid first beta.

Should I use it yet? No, unless you like being on the cutting edge. There are a few bugs that make it still a bit unstable for daily use, namely the contact tab. It's a shame we can't get our TF3D messages working quite yet, I'm sure there will be fixes out soon for it.

I'll keep you updated of course.

I am having all the same issues..The only 2 annoying ones, to me, is the Programs Tab not showing up, even with the included patch it doens't work as you've stated.

The nezxt annnoying one is the SIM Card not Inserted SMS Error..it would be nice, in threaded view once that works.. I love the Calendar though. I am actually able to toss aside my THUMBCal Program now because TF3D is growing.

Also, another but I have is If I go too REMOVE PROGRAMS under settings.. no programs appear....it's blank.. .and I have only like 13 mb of memory ... or something.. weird.

Yeah, I got it redd. I didn't need to use that program or anything, the Topaz g-sensor worked by itself for the new manila.

@Randy: I see all my programs in Remove Programs. The lack of memory is because you installed about 60mb worth of Manila. Wait for an OEM to appear and cook your ROM, or for one of our local cookers to get one out.(C'mon groove, haha)

Overall, it's beautiful. I'm awaiting the contact/sms tab fixes, and I think after that it'll be fully usable.

Whoever cooks up a new Rhodium ROM first will be a pretty big hit among the community, so cooks, do your thing!

I haven't left landscape mode in a bit, it's amazing. :D
