Initial bootup takes about 3-5 mins, subsequent ones take about 45secs-1min. Make sure you install it to Storage card and not Phones Internal Memory. I tried both methods and it never finished loading when it was on Internal ROM. Storage card did the trick however. Also, make sure to rename the text file corresponding to your phone to default.txt, thus overriding the existing default.txt file included. Oh, and lastly, just dump the TMP folder into the root of the storage card. Make sure that it's the TMP folder, and not a TMP folder within the TMP folder. I don't think it has to do with the ROM on your phone. I might be wrong though.
Did you try formatting the SD card using FAT32 and 4096b/sec and then copying the /tmp folder? |

Re: [6-21-09] Android for CDMA Touch Pro (RAPH800 and Diamond) Ported!!!
Thanks hamidxa and m4f1050 fo taking the time to try to help.
Unfortunately nothing seems to work. I've tried formatting my SD card to FAT32, tried two different SD cards (a 512 MB and a 2 GB) both with the same results. Tried EnergyROM - same thing - so now I agree it is probably not ROM related When I formatted the cards I connected the Touch Pro to my PC as a Disk Drive and right clicked the Disk Drive in Computer and chose Format... and chose FAT32 and 4096 bytes and did NOT do the Quick Format. Is there any reason that would not work? Is there another way that is better? \Storage Card\tmp\boot is where haret18.exe resides, as well as the default.txt - which is where it is supposed to be... I tried manually editting the default.txt file where it says mmcblk0p1 (to p2, p3, etc) because that's where it usually starts messing up in the boot process, when it tries to mount mmcblk0p1, says invalid argument, then it is followed by a bunch of cannot finds and disablings. and ends up freezing at disabling flash_recovery. Guess I'll just have to wait for the next release and try again.. Thanks again anyway |

I don't think that's the propper way of formatting it.
If you don't have an SD reader on PC I suggest you do a search for a good PPC app to format the SD card with. |

If I then replace the default.txt with the one I should be using, but keep all the other files from the RAPH100 build. Same thing happens but the image looks nicer because the colors are fixed. If I use either raph800 build from March or June. It always gets the mount error when trying to mount mmcblk0p1. This is very irritating - ![]() Does anyone know EXACTLY how the SD card needs to formatted? I know FAT32, but there are other settings like Allocation Unit Size and Sector Size or does none of that matter. EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT WOO HOO!!!! GOT IT!! It was the SD Card!!!! I went to the box my phone came with and found the original SD card. popped it in my PC card reader in Windows 7 RC. saw it was fat so I formatted it as fat32 with allocation unit size of 4096 bytes. quick format. dropped the tmp directory on it. put it in my touch pro. ran haret. vwahlah!!!!!! I guess android is very particular about what kinds of SD card it will work with. Last edited by Cobaltikus; 09-01-2009 at 08:42 PM. |
