good job!

so i tried the newest package (2.01 eclair) but could not get it to work properly (no network service).

as of now it seems that only the 1.6 works on the raph800.

are you familiar with the button config? I know droid is suppose to be know for multi-tasking and I get into menus (ie settings) and then I can't get out

i don't really know the buttons. if you press the back button enough times you will get back to the main screen lol. it does have multitasking but since it is not a full build, i don't think all of the functions work just yet and i don't believe the buttons are mapped for everything just yet. you can run multi apps but i don't know how to switch between them.

I'm sorry I only have one more ignorant question, the brightness dies is there a way to keep it bright? And is there a way to zoom in yet? Everything is very small. This will conclude my stupid questions and I will be looking for updates :) Thanks again

lol there are no stupid questions here. this is new for just about everyone.

as far as i know there is no way to stop the dimming. think of it as a bug still. also to my knowledge no way to zoom.

however while playing with the eclar 2.01 version of andriod, i noticed that the screen would dim if left alone then get bright again once a key was pressed. on the 1.6, once it goes dim it stays dim. also the power button (sleep) seems to work right on the 2.01 where i seem to have problems with the 1.6 version. it likes to sleep and not wake up right away on the 1.6.

delete the od zimage the startup.txt thats in there. replace with the zimage 2009 cdma data or something like that.
delete anyother zimage-blah there should only be one

trying to get the new eclair running... finally realized what ya'll meant in keeping the 1.6 stuff, but it still won't work. went all the way through, then gets stuck at:

"A N D R O I D { 41.346679} init: Unable to open persisten property directory /data/property errno: 2"

Where did I go wrong?

replace the system.sqsh file from the eclair package with the 1.6 package and you should get past that point but it will boot you in 1.6

if you use the rootfs from the eclair package and the zimage from the 1.6 you should boot up to 2.01.
