For anyone with a DIAM500, my kernel is posted at this xda thread and also on the wave. I'm also answering questions there.

I've copied everything to the root of my storage card it freezes my device everytime. I'm pretty sure I've followed all the instructions correctly and used the downloads from the first post, but everytime I launch it goes through the Linux "dos" screen the freezes up. I'm on a Sprint Touch Pro, are there some specific files that have been more successful for my device. I apologize for my ignorance and thanks in advance.

For 2.0.1 (Eclair) on your phone, go here:

This appears to be for GSM only...did not see anything for CDMA...:-(

I asked everyone at XDA on that thread to post a link to the CDMA zImage when it's created, but they seem a little pissy over there!

I'm using it on my Sprint CDMA phone.
Just grab the 1.6 install from UTB, head over to that thread and copy over the rootfs and zimage.
All done.

Jamen: Nobody over there's working on making CDMA kernels. I think I'm the only hope. :p

Gelladuga69: Which zImage and rootfs specifically?

I haven't tried every combination, but I can't find a way to make this work yet.

* With the latest RAPH800 zImage (from the wave or from connect-UTB, 12-17) and the rest of the files from the eclair release, it boots, but is so slow as to be unusable (can't even get the screen to recognize the unlock swipe).
* With the latest CDMA zImage and latest CDMA rootfs, and the rest of the files from eclair, it doesn't boot.
* With a newly built zImage with the latest GSM fixes rolled in, it's still unusably slow.

But I am exhausted at the moment. It's quite possible I've missed a simple step in testing this. Sounds like it's working for at least one person here.

If it's not just some snafu on my end, I think getting ADB working in Eclair and tracking this down that way is the best solution. (Finally, something at a level we can debug!) But I won't be giving it any attention for a while, what with Christmas and all.

You are the only hope.
What I did was:
Downloaded latest 1.6 from UTB (not wave)
Replace zImage + roofs with your kernel
Downloaded Eclair - http://www.4shared.com/file/18006985..._12-23-09.html
Replace System.sqsh and rootfs
