Re: [12-3-09]Android CDMA TouchPro: TEXT and TALK(RAPH800) Ported!!!
catfishk: did you put your apn info into default.txt? Did it make any difference? (I guess it's hard to tell, since data won't work anyway with the proxy.) Having sprint (who use no username or password), I hadn't even thought about it.
I have no idea how to deal with the proxy server (find someone who's ported a Hero over to cricket, maybe? Is that even possible yet?), but you should be able to at least find out if your data connection is established. Not sure how much linux experience you have, so don't be offended, but give this a shot: Bring up a terminal and type 'ifconfig' (without the quotes). It should list the networking interfaces (if = interface). There should be a 'lo' (local loopback) and 'ppp0' connection. If there is a ppp0 connection, and it has an ip address that looks real, that's a pretty good sign your connection is established. |

I went to the site for the apn settings but the problem is there is nothing for sprint on them.

I got a log of the boot process with haret from the RAPH500.. I'm attaching this log in hopes something can be resolved so we can get a working boot. I'm trying to work with getting memory dumps but Ubuntu is being weird about connecting to the device via haretconsole. :disgust:

I'm no expert, but it looks like that haret log is fine. i.e. the problem is after Haret loads the zImage and gives up control.
Does the phone vibrate at all after haret fills the 'loading' bar? I'm not well-acquainted with the early booting process, and all the things that happen before it goes 'buzz-buzz' and switches on the boot log. Hopefully pretty soon we'll have a version with working ramconsole, and with that, we'll be able to pull out the dmesg from linux after rebooting into windows mobile. Unfortunately, we don't have it yet, so it's no use for you now. |

oh yeah.. it vibrates and just hangs there... who knows what it's deal is.. ](*,) but thanks for the quick reply!

i have edited STARTUP.TXT a few times now, and played with the browser proxy settings in Android a bit. i think it can work. Crickets data is over #777- same as Verizon, Sprint i think. we can only use web ports 80 and 8080. the proxy is wap.mycricket.com, which i think resolves to 172.29.223.11 in Portland. should do web, at least |
