GPS software with uploading capabilities
I'm working on a project to display my current location on my wesbsite, and eventually keep track of places I've been. To do this, I'm looking for an application that will log GPS data (GPX logs most likely), and then upload them to a server of my choice via FTP or some similar method. So far, TrackMe has been the closest thing to what I want, but that requires a specific web app...I'm looking for something with fewers bells & whistles, but more uploading flexibility. Has anybody come across such a program?

Re: GPS software with uploading capabilities
I was going to suggest Trackme but your right that it probably overkill for what you're trying to do.

Re: GPS software with uploading capabilities
If you need a small program that track GPS coordinates and save them to a file/ftp/http webservice/ ... anything I may help...
Just tell me file format and kind of application you need (hidden, visual, ...) Should be done pretty fast (already made GPS application). |
Re: GPS software with uploading capabilities
you could use gpsgate or similiar to log to a file in a folder which syncs with livemesh
edit: guess I didnt read enough as that wouldnt fit your needs. nonetheless I guess you know that trackme can be setup to run on another website, but that web site must be configured for it |
