idiamond project UNLOCKED BETA
 

The Idiamond project has been released with an unlocked public beta. Follow the XDA link and download it. I just did and I am playing with it right now.

Remember to uncheck TF3D before install and then enable it after download for idiamond project to load. I just want to remind everyone that this takes a great deal of patience when you load it and customize but once you have it done you will not regret it!

It isn't new. It is just unlocked from the previous version. DMANN said he has been working and cannot see just keeping us from using it and improving it. Still has the same bugs as before but like i said once you get it set up you will not be sorry.

BTW, i forgot how freaking fast this is....

well its boring here at work today so i think i will load this idiamond and tell yall what i think...thanks op for the link just this weekend i read a thread about how we couldnt get idiamond anymore or maybe i read it wrong it was late and i was pretty toasty lol

I installed Idiamond and it's actually pretty cool. nice change of pace but not sure long term but very promising.

just to follow up...its like a pretty cool action screen. i can definitely see this being developed into a full theme...and like riley its nice for a change but at this time it doesnt give the full range of TF3d...but eventually i hope to see this developed more

I installed it too, it's cool so far, but same for me...it's not going to stay very long. Is there anything like this, or something that can replace the "programs" tab in TF3D?? Since this is basically a program launcher, it would be great as a tab to Touch flo instead.

totally agree. great if it was stand alone but I think it still need tf3d correct?

The v3a works with the standard TF3D. The v3b which is much more useful only works with the Rhodium version of Manilla.

I have not tried this one but i do know idiamond uses Manillia and tf3d as its "base".

does anyone know what i did wrong

I have a Touch Pro with windows mobile 6.5 and TF3D

I installed CAB and it worked. When i launch TF3D IDimond comes up fine.

But when i tried to copy the IPhone Theme manila files to the windows dir. It will not allow me to overwrite the files already there

"make sure the file is not read only or that there is enough space left to place file."

I made sure both conditions where met before ateemting to override with new manilla files but its still doesnt work.

please help

I don't think you use them both at the same time. idiamond uses tf3d to run on. Disable TF3D uninstall idiamond then soft reset. Then you can load theIphone theme for tf3d, reactivate tf3d then you should have the theme.

Note: Both are themes and you can only use one at a time.

ok guys, need some help here...I went to the site on xda and downloaded the 4 zip files...now, what do I do next?? should I just install the cab file?? or do I need to install any other file as well to make the idiamond theme work??

You will need the cab that says idiamond.project.v0.2b.unlockedbeta

Disable TF3D in your settings then install the unlockedbeta cab to your device. Soft reset and then reload TF3D. This should pull up the idiamond launcher for configuration.

Be warned that it is frustrating trying to set the settings. There will be several soft resets and redos but once you get it done it is a great launcher in conjuction with 2nd Today screen with HTC Home.

If you want to uninstall it just disable TF3D, go to the settings and remove idiamond, soft reset then relaunch TF3D.

Is anyone else's freezing/tf3d restarting when you add programs to the menu? Also, what does the Clock icon do?

if you unzip the clock icon.zip folder into your windows dir i think is supposed to chow a clock.

And I have a question of my own. How am i supposed to use the iphone music player. to swipe songs sidways like the iphone. any onw know how?

Iphone style music player is not available yet...I believe.


Oh yeah and for "what does the clock icon do?"... it is a clock. Thats it.

if you look at the youtube videos of Idimond project you will see that he was using the iphone style music player integrated with touch flo 3d. does anyone know How I can do that?

I believe its s2p player just integrated into his theme.not sure though.

Yes. And yes, adding programs will sometimes crash TF3D. Just add them again, eventually it will stick.

Just unchecked tf3d in your Today settings then uninstall idiamond, soft reset and your back to tf3d.

:violent2: Now I may be wrong but I thought I read a post the other day in xda that someone complained cause there was a time period on the iDiamond Beta, like a trial program. They said theirs quit working and it said something about trial period endeed.

:violent2:Same here, don't feel it will stay long. Still prefer my GC rom, more memory and alot less aggrevating to install and rearrange things.

saying good bye to iDiamond(beta ends tommrow)
I have been using D-Man's iDiamond project for the past 15 or so days and the beta is forcefully ended tommrow . For anyone that has not heard or used it its basically a iPhone clone UI that runs through Manila, its easy to use and FAST, really fast, it uses very little resources and I really really am sad to have to wait for the next release, here is the link to the thread at XDA: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?p=3077363

ANYWAYS, I will have to wait a month or so before beta two comes out and I dont think I want to go back to touch flo. It looks great but its to flash and not that user friendly. What suggestions do you have for someone who liked iDiamond, that wants a fast, easy to uses UI for my touch Pro?

Thats was true but d mann put out an unlocked version with no time period on it so we can play with it and see if any mods can fix someof the glitches with it.

I honestly dont know but you can try installing it and see where it gets you! I doubt it though but give it a shot. It wont hurt and its completely uninstalable!

I have struggled with editing the manila file that was posted on XDA to allow seeing voice message counts, active calendar, sms count and email count on idiamond. Here are the links to the forum pages.....

If anyone can present a better working solution, feel free to post. Manual editing of the manilla file indicated on the forum did not work for me at least.
When I used the second posts attached file, it reverted TF3D back to the standard tabbed version.

I have issues with adding icons and it making idiamond extremely sluggish until I remove the icon again. It's a very frustrating problem that I've asked about on xda but can never get an answer for, does anyone else have this problem or know of a fix? I have 78 icons if that matters. thanks in advance.

I have not experienced any sluggishness...It is fast for me. I have actually been using TF3D with bbextreme3.1...It is my fav.

Once in a while i go back to idiamond but i don't like that it takes over TF3D
