No difference, except that its not a system hog like opera mobile. And it is much faster imo. I think it runs on webkit which is same as safari from iphone, but im not sure.

This Iris browser is nice. You can tab through forms easily and seems more responsive to touch. The only thing I do not like is it doesn't save login information :-(

Wish Skyfire would have smooth scrolling like Opera Mini

If Opera Mini supported flash, I would never install anything else.......

I'd like to know more about this. I've got OperaMini installed and I really like it (Opera Mobile was driving me mad!) - but the main issue I have with it is entering text - even URLs. When I click a text box - the screen goes white, and anything I type is in a tiny, tiny font at the top of the screen. If I manage to type correctly (since I can't see it at all), everything works fine. I need to check what version of java I'm using (it is a jbed version though).

Thanks!

Re: Looking for good Mobile browser

I have kinda spoiled myself lately.

I got a great deal on a 16 gig ipod touch & have been using that for browsing instead of my phone lately. OMG, safari is awesome. I already knew that, but never really had time to see just how great it is before.

Between the incredibly bright, super responsive screen & the fabulous browser I'm not sure I will ever use a PPC browser again.

Opera Mini seems to come the closest to mimicking Safari & that's why I like it, but as long as the touch is handy I will certainly grab that first for browsing the net or playing ripped DVD movies.............
