benefits of wifi vs evdo?

So I was wondering what are the actual benefits of using wifi vs evdo? I know wifi uses more battery life? But what are the pro's and cons of using wifi vs evdo?

Re: benefits of wifi vs evdo?

Well to say the least wifi can be faster depending on the signal you accessing, however it is also more constricted since you obviously need to be relatively close to the router. One thing I have also noticed is that wifi tends to be a more steady connection while evdo at times can start fast and jump back and forth even when stationary.
