Loudtalks....who uses it?

Ok so I have installed loudtalks and have been using it for a couple hrs...the only beef I have is that it stays in authorization until the other person authorizes after they login....I went ahead and logged into my friends bc he was at work and couldnt get to a pc then had to authorize myself thru his account took about 45 min for it to pop up....anyone else had this problem? Kinda seems like a hassle to go thru just to add a contact bc u cant add anybody thru the phone program.

TP users communicate thru LoudTalks

so I used to use blackberrys and enjoyed the "ping" service they had to communicate with other blackberry users and the forums....I see that WinMo has Loudtalks and i was wondering who all has it installed and who be interested in starting a thread that includes their username on LoudTalks so that other users could communicate with them...I know kinda lame, but just a thought :drunken:

My buddy and I've installed it for testing. Tho since I don't know you, I'm not sharing my user id. :)

i've got it installed on my TP and my mom's Diamond...we use it, its worth looking at...not a bad application at all...its completely free
i think the ability to ignore a request for a new friend would be a great feature to have though.

Loudtalks v0.9.0.47 Updated 2-24-9

1 Attachment(s)
Another great PTT app was updated today... enjoy!

http://www.freewareppc.com/images/pr.../loudtalks.gif

Description:
Loudtalks brings free push-to-talk for PC and Windows Mobile. It is an instant voice
communication for personal use. Great to keep in touch with friends, family or online game teammates.

Use Loudtalks Lite for Windows Mobile to turn your handheld into real walkie talkie!
Features:
  • Fast.
Loudtalks conversations are nearly as fast as face-to-face and possibly the fastest way to communicate online.
  • Easy to use.
To start talking you just push F7. It works even when the application is minimized.
  • One to many.
With Loudtalks you can voice message two, three or even a hundred people simultaniously.
  • Voice history.
Re-play your conversations when you want from the voice history.
  • Lightweight.
We hate bloated software. Loudtalks setup for Windows is under 2 Mb and the program takes up little system resources and memory.
  • Automatic.
In the most cases you don't have to configure anything to start using Loudtalks.
  • Loud.
Unlike traditional VoIP applications you don't have to use a headset with Loudtalks. Just plug-in a microphone (or use a built-in one) and play the sound via speakers. That's much more convinient.
  • Portable.
When installed on USB thumbdrive Loudtalks will recognize that and will work in portable mode leaving no trace on host computers.
  • Mobile.
Use Loudtalks for Windows Mobile to turn your handheld into two-way radio!
  • Multilingual.
Loudtalks has been translated to 11 languages. More translations will be added over time.
  • 3G and EDGE compartible.
Loudtalks works great over WiFi and 3G (EV-DO), and even could be used on EDGE.
How can I use Loudtalks Lite?
- Talk to your online friends anytime with a single button push.
- Get an unfair advantage during online games.
- Use it as your own PA system at your home or office.

Re: TP users communicate thru LoudTalks

I'd be willing to do this! Seems pretty cool! When readylink first came out for sprint, a forum I use to go to started a thread like this.

Re: TP users communicate thru LoudTalks

^^^^yeah I met some really cool people on blackberry messenger when I had it and considering its not online all of the time you don't have to talk to people when you don't want to...

Good idea, illtry this app n come back w my userid soon, tho it will prob mirror my ppcgeeks userid. I like the ppcgeeks group on palringo too, its pretty sweet.

Re: TP users communicate thru LoudTalks

It works. It would be nicer if I could use my BT headset with it instead of the actual TP speaker and mic.

Has anyone here tried Palringo. It is a pretty robust little app, but I didn't like the battery drain. Does LoudTalks drain the battery significantly?

Tp

Re: Loudtalks v0.9.0.47 Updated 2-24-9

I tried the previous version between my phone and PC. I was amazed as to how well it worked.

The only thing I'd like to see is a way to map a hard key to the "talk" button, maybe somehow link into AEbuttons or something, because holding your finger on their soft button gets awkward at times, when trying to speak to the microphone).

might get better results if you dont just confine it to TP users... pretty much anyone who runs WM can use this app... I'd recommend tweaking the title and asking a modd to move it to the software forum maybe? just suggestions though.
