stoping mp3 ringtones from playing with txt msg notification

i have a mogul ppc 6800 and when i dismiss the notification my mp3 ringtone keeps playing. I would like to konw if any of you guys have been able to stop the notification b/c it's really irritating coming from the treo 700wx and being able to stop it......please help me going out of my mind with this issue!!!!!!!!

I haven't had this happen unless the notification hasn't been dismissed. For example, if you don't dismiss a reminder it will continue to play the notification sound.

Try soft resetting your device to see if that helps.

i've tried soft reset as well as hard reset i get the same result is their any type of registry tweak that u know of......also do u have mp3 ringtones for ur txt msg notification???

I only use the stock sounds for text messages, etc. Maybe the MP3 file is too long or repeats? I really don't know as I don't use them for my notifications.

thanks for your input i think im just going to shorten the ringtones b/c they dont repeat it just plays the whole length of the song. I do have another ? if u dont mind me picking ur brain. I have the .cab for the flash player 7 & when i go to the nba website it says i need flash player 6 or above im thinking i have it already with that .cab flash player. I want to be able to view the nba website highlight clips do u know any way to have those clips play????? thanks u've been a big help to a newb

I think it is a limitation in PIE to see flash sites, such as nba.com. You might want to check out the Opera browser. I personally don't use it, but I think that people have said it can view flash embedded in websites.

ok thanks i will try.........do u know what video formats the mogul supports i'm trying to watch video clips & movies but when i tried i think it was mpeg it didnt work. I did get it to work with 3gp but the quality is really choppy & it didnt have any sound. My ? would be are there better formats i can view on the device. Like maybe mpeg 4 or something equiv to that????

Try using an application like Pocket Player or Core player. Much better than WMP 10. They're not free, but worth the price. I use Pocket Player from Conduit.

ok so i guess its not the format its the browser thats what ur telling me??? Also i wanted to ask about the flash player situation on the nba website i downloaded the opera mini browser but i cant view the videos which is pretty much what i want to do....Is there any browser u know of that u can view the videos on a website????

Don't really know. I don't usually view videos on my phone and I only use the PIE browser...
