Perfect InCall Recorder 02/28/2009 Updated

5 Attachment(s)
It is from Rapahel Chinese version and perfect works on Diamond CDMA, it is a real Incall recorder for PPC.

I attached the cab file and OEM file, enjoy it!

02/28/2009 Update
In fact, WM has supported incall recorder via reg modified from AKU1.4, it supports any dialer pad.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\AudioRecording]
"Enabled"=dword:00000001
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Voice]
"EnableCallRecordMenuItem"=dword:00000001
"AllowInCallRecording"=dword:00000001

The recorder is .wav file and saved at My Documents\Notes.

Thanks to Mr. Xiaoqiao & Chnnt at xbeta.

Is this the same one IndaGroove uses in his rom?

This looks cool, but don't you need voAMRNBEnc.dll to make it work?

No, mine doesn't record to internal. If this works as advertised, I will upgrade in the future. Also, this looks like it has the annoying beeps which can be easily fixed.

I'll trade ya the tweaks to get it to record to \internal storage\recordings for that get rid of da beep fix... Download rstg_dia_oem_v1.7.17.rar from my SendSpace folder . It's my oem directory for my current rom. It's in the RGU. I'd Post a direct link, but I'm at work....

Get rid of the beep is easy. Just overwrite two files with the ones zipped in the attachment.

It works on S2A, I did not test it on the normal dialer pad.
But the option only appears on calling dialog.

I installed this on my Touch Pro (Sprint). In the Phone menu there is no option to record call. I did try rebooting the phone, and I still see no option. Any suggestions?

I'm just saying that the beeps are annoying, and I disabled them in the version in my rom. You just replace the wav files with empty ones.

I'm 99% sure you need voAMRNBEnc.dll to make this work. Some roms may already have voAMRNBEnc.dll. Mine does. Most don't. I'll build a test rom without it, and post results..

So this program uses the mic/speaker combination to record the conversation?

I stand corrected. I just tested without it, and it works. I'm not sure that it's recording to internal however. Also, there's a problem with the oem posted in the first post with the initflash file, and a missing letter>>"star menu".

Re: Perfect InCall Recorder

So, I just tested, and confirmed that this is NOT recording to internal storage regardless of what of may say. Recordings are not there after hard reset.

Does the program rely on the mic and the speaker or is it a real in call recording program which doesn't rely on the mic/speakerphone

i love groove rom because indagroove is all over the place testing out stuffs for his rom, no wonder groove rom is the best (my opinion of course).

Here's the export that I added to the rgu and mine records to \internal storage\recordings folder

Code:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\ICR]
"StorageDevice"=dword:00000001
"FormatType"=dword:00000000
"FilterType"=dword:00000002
"IsMemoryCardInserted"=dword:00000001

edit: here is the oem I use

That's odd, because I used the rgu from your oem. Maybe I'll try again..

Help..Perfect InCall Recorder

Im not sure if im missing somthing here but I installed the cab fine and I do see the option under menu to record the call. So I select start recording during the call but nothing is saved when I open the app. Also during the call I decide to stop the recording and the only option there I see is to "start recording" !

any ideas?

rstoyguy 02-20-2009 12:32 PM

Re: Perfect InCall Recorder

It should also have a link installed in startmenu-programs somewhere. This is where you can playback recordings, set more options like AMR/WAV format, and DEVICE/CARD storage locations...

edit: the link runs \windows\ICR.exe

Re: Perfect InCall Recorder

running this on stock rom, and it does not work, no added button in the in-call menu, ect...

I turned your reg entry into a cab, installed the cab, and it still does not record to internal. I'll try with your oem package. I am already aware of the options menu.

That's weird... I looked through the other stuff and can't find anything related... It works though. I wonder which setting elsewhere is enabling it...

And maybee a modification I did was deleted the voAMRNBEnc.dll file. I deleted the one the one out of the stock rom, in favor of the one out of KDKobes_Footprints_TomTom_Supported(2).cab, and kept that one instead of the one included in the .cab that I made the OEM with. Here's the .dll....
