Uploaded new version with shortcut in start\programs ... sorry no pretty icon i dont know how


and i dont know thats wierd i use the HTC X-Button thats free it finds the Contact Manager when its running... i havent used the other products sorry


on another note i just realized he solved the adding new contact.. at the bottom of your list thers a <New Contact> button lets you add a new contact and then updates ur list ;-)

Is there a way to make the program sort by last name? I was able to do this under the old contacts.

yes it is in the ini file...

1. copy your Settings.ini file to your desktop... (located in \Program Files\Contact Manger)
2. open in Notepad
3. look for the lines

contact_sort_expression=%firstname %lastname
# font used for first line in contact list
contact_font_header=12,bold
contact_header_formatting=%title %firstname %lastname
4.flip them so it looks like

contact_sort_expression=%lastname %firstname
# font used for first line in contact list
contact_font_header=12,bold
contact_header_formatting=%title %lastname %firstname
5. save and copy back to the directory
6. restart app..


if you want u can also open the ini via something like notepad on the device itself and change it that way

Thanks for the shortcut, but I 'd really like the green ICON back if you figure that part out, other than that it's a great program...............thanks!


Hahaha the strangest thing, I reinstalled v.9 and then updated again to v.10 and whammo it's back imagine that.........

for the mogul we use the non vga settings. is there a way to disable the face feature. i manually have it in right soft key where put short cut so its running on reboot start up ?

im not really sure what your asking me me here? whats the face feature? im sure i can disable it

Like this very much.
Just have a couple of issues.

I got the list to sort by lastname, firstname.
Once I click on the contact and get the details, I can only see 4 fields. Some of my contacts have more than 4 fields. Is there a way to shrink down the fields in the contact details?

Also, would be nice to have control over how the contact header (in the contact details) is displayed (seperate from the way its displayed in the index or main screen). Or have a comma between lastname and firstname.

alright so heres your options... you can either show all the pictures including the missing ones or none at all...

read a few posts up... where i explained how to change the last name first...

follow those same guidelines but look for this code

#show_contact_images_in_list=0
and change it to

show_contact_images_in_list=0
that should hide all the pictures...

also for anyone looking to get the top bar back(gives option to close app)...
