For a work around, you could always save the picture of your friend, then manually add it as a contact picture... I like that idea though!

I just installed the lateset version to my phone. I love it it blows the other FB apps I have tried away. My only concern is that sending a im message is a little slow but not too annoying. Thanks for keeping this updated.

I noticed that the speed of sent and received IM messages depends most on how well your data connection is.. And no problem.. :)

just wanted to let you know that what i call the most stable, faster and minimum memory consuming version of fim is out

changes:
V2.2.7 (21/6/2009)
* fixed reappear of new notifications
* toggle full screen by double click on upper bar
* fixed duplicate login error messages
* added option to auto load chat history (though it takes more time + data)
* embedded browser seems to be working fine on latest wm 6.5 builds
* added some features to support usage in QVGA smart phones (such as tab/arrows functionality)
* registry settings moved to HKCU (that's how m$ like it)
* long enter press sends message (only works from hardware keyboard)
* fixed pop up notifications (moved show/dismiss button to top)
* lower memory usage

does anyone know how to backup the login settings? I flash my rom a lot and if i could save a specific reg key or file that i could automate with the reflash process that would be great.

Thanks, i will try that. I updgraded to the latest version of SkTools and it lets me make cabs of programs that are already installed and i think i was able to save everything that way also but i will test that now. Thanks

* added copy (click on the line you want to copy, then long click to open popup menu)

facebook changed some stuff, so earlier versions would not work for most of you.
the latest version 2.2.8.4 fix this issues
