Same here, I just hit the power button. If I dont I usually end up changing the clock from digital to analog with my ear, lol

On my 700wx I can go to Settings/Key Guard and there is a box for "Disable touchscreen while on call in Today Screen."

Key guard I think is something that is only for Treos. On the Apache and Mogul, we have "Button Lock", but it only gives us the option to lock the buttons from turning the device on.
