Re: Resco Contact Manager - Public Beta Released

Hey,

Has anyone noticed that it has trouble matching the incoming calls with your contact list? It's as if the area code or something is laid out differently, and it can't make the match, even though the numbers are the same....

The caller ID function is a little buggy but still its pretty good software. I prefer this over Icontact, but Icontact is freeware so you can't beat that.

Re: Resco Contact Manager - Public Beta Released

Everything worked on my Pro except it wouldn't make phone calls. Whenever i tried it took me to the phone properties in settings. Obviously it had to be uninstalled but it does look promising!
When i get time i'll report it to Resco and see if there is a fix.

Re: Resco Contact Manager - Public Beta Released

i disabled the caller id function, i think the smoothness and layout, make it one of my fav contact programs (cnet face contacts #1). I enjoy the today screen but could be smaller.

Re: Resco Contact Manager - Public Beta Released

I liked it except for some of the known bugs which I anticipate they'll fix. The biggest problem I had though is that on my Touch Pro, the soft buttons wouldn't always work properly. For example, once I opened up a contact and got corresponding buttons for "call mobile", "call home" etc. and I press a button, nothing happens. I have to sometimes press the button several dozen times before it accepts it. Too frustrating.

You can tell they rushed this one out....those little bugs are pretty significant in my book! I won't even bother installing it because I haven't been updating my phone anymore lately. Ever since the Palm Pre was announced I look at my phone as clumsy and slow and in dire need of being replaced.
