Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!

The Rings folder should already be there. That's where most system sounds already are. The Rings directory as well as the root of the storage card are two locations that just about any program will look for ringtones. Anything else is a crap shoot.

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!

I'm a tard. Previously I was putting them straight into the windows folder and it was a crapshoot if windows would see the files. I guess I didn't look hard enough b/c I saw the My ringtones folder in my documents. I know it's a crapshoot for windows to see the files in there as well, but it recognizes just fine in my documents.

I will change my Sashimi Root copy to the windows ring folder now. Thanks.

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!

I thought I would add my 5 cents to this thread. I have been using SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 for maybe 1 and 1/2 years. I really rely on this program for my Sprint Diamond. I use TF3D just for eye candy once in a while. I have 2 Diamond phones and I use one to compare programs, tweak for fun, and experiment with and mainly use for an emergency backup. This is because I have over 2500 contacts with pages of notes on each one. My phone is a very important tool. I use Mighty's 4.7 Rom on both of these. I upgraded to SPB Mobile Shell the first day it was released thinking that if 2.0 was good 3.0 would be the bomb. Wrong in so many ways. The first thing I noticed was the lack of customizing to the different Launcher menus as one can do with 2.0, a fix that thankfully I found on post 495 of this forum. I was able to make registry changes to get this done...Why SPB did not enable this is a mystery. I also was able to run TF3D along with SPB 3.0 as I learned on this forum how accomplish. A lot of the things of 3.0 I like so I spent hours tweaking this software to make if work for me and I finally got to point where I said maybe this will be a good fit. It was after all this that I noticed once you add 2500 contacts to your device SPB 3.0 it takes forever to load, possibly 5 minutes or more. I am soft resetting or removing my battery several times a day. I have over 60 software titles installed and sometimes there is a need to get a clean boot. This wait time is very unacceptable. With SPB Mobile Shell 2.0 it is very fast to reboot and get back to work in about 60 seconds but with 3.0 I do not have the patience to wait 4-5 minutes every time. My question is why would SPB which makes very excellent software have such a slug with this new release? Did they not have a beta tester with large files to test it with? So for me I'm going back to the very reliable 2.0. I'm hoping this will help those power end user like myself from spending all the time that I did with 3.0 and being very disappointed. Good Luck.

This is exactly why when I flashed to 4.17, I didn't even bother with installing MS3. I love speed.

My battery has been horrible and the apparent culprit is SPB3. :(

Back on MS2.
Too bad, girly still hates going back to Today screen to make phone calls by having to hit the Send key. And ofcourse, the el-tasks.

Yes, I am going to have to go back to SPB2, not because I dislike SPB3, but because battery is well, you know, kind of important.

I really really like having the start menu and taskbar available in SPB3. :(
