Yes, mine did come with Opera, maybe that is why yours doesn't. I am not sure, but maybe if you import a reg entry (assuming you have Opera installed on the device, otherwise it would need tweaking) like I have on mine to include Opera in the menu.

Go to HKLM\Software\SPB Mobile Shell\Menu\Root\Internet and see if you have a folder named Opera....if you do, open that folder, and change the DWORD value of Check to 1.

If you don't have an Opera folder, I am adding my reg file for it. Please have a backup done before you attempt either meathod, and if anyone here knows about reg editing pretty well, please look this over first...I am no expert!!!!

Weird... that key was already there, and the value was already at 1.

ya where is the original link so we know what this is about... thanks

Many people on this thread have been asking for a way to edit the SPB menu to include stuff/exclude stuff. Apparently it isn't possible. However, this menu editor tool will help you do all that.

The link is directing to SPB's forum announcing it.

Where do you have Opera installed (I am assuming you installed it yourself)?

I just had a thought...

I LOVE WeatherPanel. Since you can remap most of the other buttons in MS, would it be possible to remap the Weather "button" to WP instead of the default weather app (or SPB Weather)? If it can be remapped to SPB Weather when it is integrated, I don't see why it couldn't be mapped to WP. Has anyone tried this yet?

Alright buddy, keep us updated!

It's installed to the default location. Program Files\Opera 9.5 Beta. I downloaded & installed it off their website.

Well, I can't find the registry entry that links to the weather app. I can't even find where it redirects it to SPB weather.

Re: SPB Mobile Shell 3.0!!

I think I will go back MS2 just for the simple reason that they had a proprietary contacts search Icon and link (I think it was named SPB Contacts) that is not in MS3. I will call it the EASY search. It was great on MS2 to use the phone pad type style to do a search even with one hand. Why did they not include this with MS3? This icon was in the Organizer folder that is titled Contacts. If you customized this folder you could also add the contacts link from Windows mobile you would have two contacts Icons but different ways to view. The Win Mobile one you have to use the keyboard to search which is a pain. Now to get to the same EASY search with MS3 you have to open the 1)contacts,2)far right phone key,3)Search,4)Right soft key,5)Open Contact,6)Notes.
With 2500 contacts on MS2 I could just go to 1)Contact,2)Search,3)Notes.
I am looking up my 2500 contacts and my notes on them all day so this one feature will keep me on MS2! Too many key presses.
Maybe I'm missing something but I need that quick search function.
I think in older SPB 2.0 it used to be called SPB Contacts.
