I have been out of the loop for about a week what is the newest version???? Is it 23088 or 23504????

Thanks in advance.

They are different build trees. 23088 is the newest from COM3, 23504 is the newest from COM5.

Also, I fixed another issue with the updated 21874 files, so if u grabbed the ones from earlier, may be a no booter. Get the latest ones. (Thanks Vancer)

Thanks to Alexx~ at XDA

What tool or method does one use to get this info for the build?

Like this:

23504 - Windows CE: 5.2 Build 4503 (October 28, 2009 15:56:02) COM5

23088 - Windows CE: 5.2 Build 4129 (November 4, 2009 15:52:57) COM3

I tried a search w/Agent Ransack on ROM/SYS folders but came up empty; do I need to use a Hex tool or something else?

I've searched for this info. but can't seem to find it. I don't need to be spoon fed, just a hint will do.

Thanks

Sorry about that info, I can't give it. That's not for public consumption.

Yes, I know I can see that once I flash a ROM, and simple search tools will give the base build. COMx is just knowing the branches, and yes I know them quite well. But the build specifics and date I can't seem to find easily, and that's what I really need. I simply assumed the other info was in the same place as the build, barring the branch info.

You're joking right? Heck, the builds themselves aren't for public consumption.

I don't know what the big deal is about this info, and I thought this forum was for learning and helping folks...

Guess it's getting to be more about rep and donations. Whatever, I will find out how to get it myself, and then I will let everyone know:laughing6:

That is why, more and more people know about it, the more hex build circulation.

I remember that the key is the XIP... But I forget the true place or key words to search.

Maybe I'm wrong.
