Can someone please give me some guidance? I am using the Vogue 6.5 Kitchen from the first post of this thread. I then removed all the SYS files and replaced them with the new 23037 ones from http://ppcgeeks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77176. I then ran BuildOS which completed and I had the ROM. However, when I flash it i have 21139 on my phone and a bunch of OEM files installed that I did not select in BuildOS.

Forgive my ignorance, but I have been reading and trying to build a 6.5 23037 ROM for the Vogue for the last week (spending an hour or two a day and trying to us PPCK and this kitchen and Ervius Kitchen) and have had 0 luck.

Please tell me what I am doing wrong, missing, or need to change.

Hi mate
when HTCROMTool runs ckeck that the os-new.nb is the one from the correct kitchen,
example if you have 2 kitchens on your pc, sometimes it will build the rom in the wrong kitchen,
click the button "OS ..." and check it's the correct kitchen folder, Also if you put your mouse over the os-new.nb file the date and time should be within 2-3 mins of compleation,

In a nutshell:

1.You don't have to remove old files from ppckitchen unless it's the same build.
2.You have to inject the XIP file (my mistake when I 1st tried it too) using WinRAR to the ROM folder in BuildOS/Kitchens/[platform]_Common.rar In your case Vogue_Common.rar
3.You have to add under BuildOS/Projects/Groups/BuildBases the new build. You can copy/paste WM6.5_96DPI_QVGA_21501_0409.txt to WM6.5_96DPI_QVGA_23037.txt and edit all 3 21501 on the new file to 23037
4.Edit BuildOS/Projects/Groups/DeviceBases/Vogue_WM6.1.txt and add the new build. You can copy/paste the last line under [BaseGroup] and change WM6.5_21501 to WM6.5_23037 and Vogue_21501.enc.bin to Vogue_23037_xip.bin

It's Messenger from 23504, it wasn't there on the 21501 so I am assuming from the 23504.

Hehehe, that wasn't supposed to be there. My bad. It's puking out because the 0409 and DPI are missing. One sec, I'll upload a third Common for 23405. Use the one that shows up as an option in the kitchen. The one from the SYS is NOT supposed to be used, but I changed some DSM numbers around on mine and never noticed the conflict.

UPDATE: Done. Sorry. You can either download the new one, or remove the WindowsLive and WindowsLiveIM folder from you SYS_23405_Common.rar.

Is it required for any other program? I will probably delete it... Do I just delete the folder? I'll check the content and I can probably figure it ouyt. OZ Instant Messenger has MSN already, wonder if that other IM works for MSN/Live? Haven't tried it.

Somehow I got volume control, but can't raise Incall volume. It lowers it though, verry annoying. The dialer has scrolling issues. Here is a link I found for the dialer fix http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=67224 but InCall Volume is still at large...on the run...APB InCall Volume! :)

Did you remember to put the XIP in the core? I had booting issues when I forgot to inject the XIP on the Vogue_Core.rar, make sure you use WinRAR and just drag it to the ROM folder.
