Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
40+ hours and counting running this build. Still stable, no Resets due to error.
Issues noticed: -After a reset, display goes to "Suspend" mode. Just have to push power button to wake it up. On initial "Wake Up" the messaging upper and lower bar show and are functional just as if the messaging window were actually open, but the Today background is showing (Titanium). if you press the "Send" button, it will bring up the window to call the contact at the top of your SMS list. I simply press the X to close it out, and everything is good to go. Not a major issue, just a little redundant. -Visual only: again, with Titanium running, the transparent upper and lower bars show sometimes in programs. it's about 50/50, so I haven't figured out if the transparent bars from the Today screen are supposed to show in all programs or if they are only supposed to be in the Today/Programs/Settings features. When the transparent bars are not showing, it simply reverts to the stock WM themed upper and lower bars. Still work as normal though, so this is a visual error only. -Skinning the dialer: I cannot seem to get a functional dialer skinned. I have used a variety of methods thus far, I will keep working on it. Part of the issue is the different SmartDial interface than the other dialers that are currently used. I am using TDial at the moment, which wants a Touch Dialer on the Titan to skin. The Touch Dialer looks out of place when installed because of the SmartDial window. I have been reading up over at the following thread since I an new to the Dialer Skinning proccess. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=7819 Any assistance for working with the Dialer on the Titan with WM 6.5 would be great. I have also installed the VistaHide Battery meter CAB. Works great and looks really good with the Titanium Today screen. Look at the very top of the screen shot below. That multi colored bar is the new Battery meter. The CAB file is also below for anyone who wants it. It came out of Scotts R4R ROM. http://www.scottcrosler.com/Titan.html

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
I finally got it booting - needed to insert the xip then leave it alone for a while (let's repeat.. I'm a N00B). Also, I can't get the xip Con linked on page 30 or 31 to work - but the one in the first post works fine. Anyone else having that prob or is it just me?
I didn't need to flash the radio (yet). Is it just me or does it seem to take a while to boot? edit: Mine seems to be taking about 3 minutes before it changes from the black "Touch DIAMOND" screen to the green "Windows Mobile 6.5" screen. Last edited by da_reeseboy; 02-13-2009 at 05:38 PM. |

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
Here's an off the wall question. I have my Dialer skinned....somewhat. While I was fishing around in the Registry trying to finish things up, I came across the following string:
HKCU\ControlPanel\PhoneExtendFunction\IOTA\Phone\D efault\UAString="http://device.sprintpcs.com/HTC/PPC6800/3356512.rdf" Being curious, I typed the link into my laptop's browser. It came up as a site with what seems to be a ReadMe txt file instructing on how to write a particular XML file for the 6800. My question is, why is this in the registry? If it were an actual XML, I could understand, but a detailed list of instructions? DO I need to just leave this in there, or should I/can I delete it? Since I am not sure what it is, I thought I would ask some of you more experienced users. Thanks! |
