So like I said earlier enter debug mode, connect your pda via usb to your pc, open qpst, look for whatever COM recognizes your device and connect. Omg! You need drivers for your device to be installed before qpst will recognize your device, so if you have done that already no problem. Make the Qpst read your phone, edit ur data and write back to the phone, soft reset and you are good. I have edited my banner like this without issues. If this is tedious Dan_htc feels you can work through the cpr if that is possible, then it is definitely easier. So Dan pls help out here. |
Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
well, I'm a fan of qpst, use it all the time, not sure why changing carrier banner is different then the change in epst, but hey, if it's different it's different, give er. as far as the cpr, I've never really tried to edit anything in them, so not too sure what can be done there

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
Forgive the newb question but I am trying to get 6.5 on my Omnia i910. Every time I use buildOS I am getting a boot.hv error. I have tried removing the OEM files and I still get it.
My question: If you make a change in the sys to a different file name do I need a new dsm file? This is the only thing I can think that would be causing the issue (obviously it can be something else but I'm not seeing it). The resolution difference is why I am changing file names in the sys. I am also changing some of the files to meet the 400 resolution. If this isn't it does someone have an idea of what I am doing wrong? |
