Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Hello everyone,

Due to my PC hardware problems, I was not able to port the new build 21198. However, used alt PC for porting and also found why I am facing SMS problem everytime. webview.dll from new version IE is required to SMS to work but had some startup problems. When the OS boots, A "message" named title will be opened but only title with today screen in middle. Sorry, I cannot explain correctly or cannot take a screenshot but I know, its tmail.exe window. I should manually close the windows everytime, when OS boots.

Any help, Plz?

Thanks a lot.....

Edit; Problem is solved. I removed tmail.exe bootup from bootlauncher and now its fine. My last problem is solved now which was giving headache from 1 month.

If you installed the weather app it doesn't add to the cpr file but just replaces it. I had to edit mine to fix it. I attached my titanium 480x640 cpr file. just disable windows default in today settings then drop the cpr file in the windows directory. then re-enable windows default in today settings. (you might backup your titanium_480x640.cpr file first just in case mine somehow messes you up worse)

1,72 MB (1 804 507 Bytes) - msxip modules in so called 21198

ps - waiting for brand new 5.2.99999 build and os :D

The question I have is this. I am on Win XP Pro runnign ActiveSync 4.5. As are many people here. There are a few folks that are on Exchange 2003 or 2007. On 21195 I get an Exchange Server error in ActiveSync once in a while (remember, I am on XP, not Exchange...), but on 21198, I do not.

I have not posted 21195 yet because I have had other issues. While yes, anyone can go in and edit the build number, there are other noticable differences in 21198, including available memory on boot. Most all of these builds, be it 6.1 or 6.5, have identical file names throughout. Every once in a while, you see a new DLL. CPR, or EXE file that has been added. We have seen this throughout the 6.5 project. So, just because some numbers match, doesn't make it a fake. The file size for most of the <bronzeres.dll> and <Titanium_*_.cpr>'s match, but we all know that there are noticable changes, because we can visually see them when we flash a build.

for qvga cookers who hate wifi notification being in the wrong spot

This quote goes with my previous reply....sorry about the confusion.

Love the look, one issue though. "Verizon Wireless" takes up more space than is allowed, and shows up as "Verizon Wirele..." and also overlaps the time stamp (AM/PM). Love the relocation of the WiFi though.

EDIT: Can ya tell I was catching up with the forum? :)

Tried that. Took the CPR's (Titanium...and StartMenu_Grid...) from 21193 (which had the smaller icons) and replaced the one's in 21198. Still had the large/stretched icons. So I did the same, but used the 21189 CPR's....no change. Which was rather odd.

Hello,

I have a trouble; In build 21198, I'm not able get battery icon enabled since only clock is showing ( Top bar ). I haven't faced this, in older builds but only in 98. Set'ed 0 to limitedclock in rgu but still showing clock in top bar.

Any help?

Thanks and regards.

Try...

Start -> Settings -> Clock & Alarms -> "More" tab -> uncheck "Display the clock on the title bar in all programs".

Let us know if that works for you.

make sure your xip is in titan_core/rom, and that it's being referred to properly, have to have matching buildid's in both devicebases and buildbases. the key is not in the dictionary because what it's looking for is not there the next step there is injecting xip

Thank you for your help. I put the XIP in the correct spot, tweaked my buildbases and devicebases correctly, and added WM6.5 to the BuildOS config file. Now when I try to build, I get:

"The file 'C:\Users\Victor\AppData\Roaming\hIq Inc\PPC-BuildOS\9.05.3.0\temp\dump\.ROM\imageinfo.bin' already exists."

I've set my permissions for both the temp folder and my kitchens folder. I'm using the 21189_all QVGA SYS files and no2chem's Titan xip.

Also, I copied the ROM folder from the Basekit 5060 kitchen (nk.fat, XIP\boot.rgu). Is this ok, or do I need to use different ones?

Thanks!

hmm, sounds like you are doing too much, all you needed to do was put your xip in the exsisting core, and point at your new sys, should not need anything from 5060 or anywhere else
