I think the best way to speed up start menu would be to have less icons in it! and use sub-folders to contain most of the icons, Here's My OEM folders/Icon set i use in my ROMs if you like it use it, You'll need to edit your initflashfiles or provxml files to copy your program *.lnk's to the sub-folders this oem will make enjoy below is the main folders it will make in start menu see the initflashfiles.txt for full list of icons it places around other folders

Thanks for the info swampy!

So, how does the Settings menu work? The latest 4.5 kitchen is placing all items under Settings within three seperate folders, which I'm not digging. I've searched high and low for where to change this but I'm coming up emtpy. Any ideas?

Hi there
I'v not started on the settings as i find it's not too bad as default on my diamond it's all in view as you open the page, IE; no scrolling required, the system page is about 2 screens worth due to a lot of my extra app installing to that page, I'm gona have a look at splitting it into 2 pages, dont know if it will work? but if you look in the registry There's 3 groups to the settings pages 0, the Personal page 1, the system page and 2, the connections page! so in theory it may be posible to create a 4th group 3,
your answer is in the registry search for group or power and you'll start to find the group index's, example if you were to change all the control panel groups to "0" thay would all be on the same page? but back up your device first as it could cause problems and i havent tryed this so don't know if it will work or not!!, at worst you'll crash your phone and have to hard reset it hope this helps

Have a look over on xda dev smartphone pages theres a chome configerator program that works on 6.1 don't know if it will work on 6.5 you'll just have to try it, it's called something like NRG CHome panel chooser, Con could probably get this to work on 6.5

hi guys!
i've been developing 21169 wwe rom for htc universal because there is only chinese version and i don't undrestand chinese at all. sys provided by conflipper i think could be ok because universal is vga device too. but the problem for me is getting unbootable rom no matter which kitchen i use. i have been developing roms for my device for a some time, and the latest working build which i made was 21139. with 21159 or 21169 i didn't succeed. some guru said that i experience problems because in all builds after 21139 there are two additional slots and none existing reloc tool works properly. they work, yes, but not always and not good. so maybe the solution is manual relocation? or something else? what should i do to make it run?
so: i have full oem and working 21169 xip dumped from chinese rom and probably another working xip ported by me but not tested at this moment. also i've lots of time and patience, but i just need some guidelines! thank you in advance.

Have you tried WMReloc instead of G'Reloc?

For me, XipPort.exe along with M'Reloc.exe, Windows Calculator (Hex mode), notepad.exe, 1 sheet of paper, and finally about 15 minutes of time to write down the original values and to cut & paste with calculator, M'Reloc & imageinfo.txt were good enough to get the right Map.txt without any '!!!!!!!!!' mark..

How about to try the old manual style this time..??
