I think the quide in this thread may have some info in it. I can't remember exactly how to do it because it's been forever since I've set it up.

You can add any jpg or gif image to WP for display. Just get the url, enter into WP and you're good to go.

For Chicago I'd start with the Department of Transportation. The state sites usually post weather/traffic cam links. Also just run a Google search for "Chicago traffic cams".

I use PocketWeather myself, as it can take a current weather map, then superimpose current conditions at airports and such on it, (just like on tv ;) My main issue with it has been a lack of support for animated icons... Note that it takes a while to set up if you really want to take advantage of the features...

That said, I love WeatherPanel too...

Yes, you need the URL's. Do a Google search for traffic cams in your area. When you find one you want, right click on the traffic image & go to properties & copy the URL.

You can then paste that URL into WP under weather images after clicking edit on your particular city.

+1 for pocket weather. The Weather console portion of PW can be run as a separate app and has the most info. Can also do radar and other images. Need to spend time configuring but by far the most comprehensive. I use Weather Console with TF3D as a separate app
