Re: Ultimate Caller ID Program
ok - I've loaded it up but not sure what to do now - do I put it in a startup folder?
I installed the cab then ran the program icon - then made a phone call to my device from another phone but nothing seemed to happen? any ideas |

Re: Ultimate Caller ID Program
Ok so from what I've read, Sprint doesn't allow data connections during a call, so the fetching of the number from the directory database either takes too long or doesn't happen during the call's ringing in, in which case by the time the are sent to voicemail, your data connection resumes and a quicker fetch of the info occurs. This would only work if the person is listed also.
So for Sprint users, the info should show up (if it's listed) after the caller has hung up or been forwarded to voicemail. The connection during a phone call is either too slow or simply doesn't have access. Lookup of the area code's state (and maybe even city) shouldn't be an issue though because that could be a local database on the phone... My friend Lisa has a blackberry with AT&T that does this. I think on the GSM network, a dataconnection is allowed during a call (which is what allows video calls?) because hers shows the number, takes a second, then shows a name. I tested hers with my house phone. |

yea if def doesn't connect have tried it before and it doesn't work. as for it connect afterward it doesn't either because the program closes once the call has ended.
