E-mail or messaging alerts

I am looking for an application that will monitor e-mail received from Outlook. Basically, if I get an e-mail from Bob I want an alarm to play but only e-mail from Bob. Could be the same for SMS. It plays a sound when I get a SMS message but when someone I'm waiting on sends something I want it to play a different alert. The phone side does this by assigning different ringers for individuals. Is there anything like this for messaging?

I just discovered this today. This is exactly what I was looking for. Although I wonder why this isn't built into pOutlook or Contacts? Already in contacts you can define ring tone for a contact. All is needed is a SMS tone or Email tone.

If you're looking for various tones, head over to www.phonezoo.com
