Re: How to get ARCSOFT MMS to work perfectly on Sprint (Mogul) as of 12-12-08
guys, I need to confirm that mine is also receiving to the Arcsoft MMS Inbox, it's a Touch Pro running on the latest Juggalo's TP ROM, and NO, it doesn't have the official Sprint PictureMail program. I have not done anything special, I just installed it and changed the server as specified on a thread around here. so yeah, I have what seems like the third "magical" phone

again all jokes aside it doesnt matter because Arcsoft will lock up you outlook after a while i will concede with notrock, so its moot at least for diamond/pro users. And obviously its not working perfectly as not everyone can receive, might depend how your account was setup and what phone you had previously. (picturemail is setup up differently if you came from any older device to come as texts, and differently when you came from a diamond because it had sprints app out of the box.)

i don't know why we are kicking a dead horse here. if it's a moot point, then just move on. i ran arcsoft on my phone for a few days before i did the edits in the op and did not notice any difference. though i did not really test it fully until after i did the edits. maybe if i feel up to it i'll change it back and run it through the tests. i have my brother on T-mobile send me pics with his razor. i still don't know why this isn't a huge thread. when sprint killed arcsoft a year ago there were 1000 of threads with 1000000 of people complaining. now it's just "eehh, so what". |

delawaresace,
I aggree completely - I have used Sprint's MMS and sMMS - and Arcsoft is just so much cleaner and quicker....not to mention, it's integrated into the sub menus. The reason that I am so hell-bent on trying to get a newer version (newer than 3.x in my OP) working is that the new ones have auto-fill from outlook in the "to:" fields - so that saves even a bit more time. If you are bored, give one of them a shot here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=404345 As you know, the info you want is: Server Name: SprintPCS gateway: left blank port number: 80 server address: http://63.215.195.152/servlets/mms Connect via: INTERNET Sending size limitation: 350k wap: wap 2.0 Ya know, I haven't tried the above info in the newer version while using the "connect via" option of SPRINT. I have always used the INTERNET option. I wonder if that makes a difference.... Later, Matt! |

I have a question. Can anyone send video with Arcsoft MMS? I try and it says format not supported. The format I had was MP4. I am using an htc touch. I can send and recieve pictures with the app but like most of us mine comes in as a text. DO you have to have an outlook account for the mms to come through that way? Thanks for the help if anyone took the time to answer.

Re: How to get ARCSOFT MMS to work perfectly on Sprint (Mogul) as of 12-12-08
not sure if this counts, but i have a touch and it worked it let me send but the message i sent to myself came back in my text inbox not the mms inbox. so when i opened it it gave me the link to my sprint mail. so is there somthing else i should do to get it to come in on my mms inbox, also it doesnt lock up but it freezes for a couple seconds when i try to get into my text messaging now, but if i can send video and sound wich i havnt tried yet then the freezing is worth it, but i also did a hard reset recently so i still have alot of tweaking to do so maybe it will work better after that
