Re: How to get ARCSOFT MMS to work perfectly on Sprint (Mogul) as of 12-12-08
well then youre the only one who has the magic phone who can.
its not possible how sprint's servers are set up because sprint doesnt use MMS for images it uses a proprietary system. And Im sure the confirmation came to the inbox because its text, and as i said its the IMAGE which isnt showing. Open the actual message, there is NO image in there, thus this is not picturemail coming through. i dont know if you are not reading the words of my posts or what because i said it shows a new message with some text but no image, and someone else just confirmed the same. But im not going to sit here and argue with you for the sake or arguing because Sprint's picturemail system is not capable of being used with incoming on acrsoft. Arcsoft will say theres a new message but will not pull the picture from the server because its not a traditional MMS system. this has been discussed in great length in old MMS threads and im not going to sit here and try to conivnce you that its simply not possible Last edited by SprintTouch08; 12-13-2008 at 05:41 PM. |

Sir you do not need to argue with me, we are all on the same team. Here I reinstalled. There is a popup that says retrieving message.
Edit I also sent a pic to my magic phone from the picmail site and it displayed without opera.. Quote:

Re: How to get ARCSOFT MMS to work perfectly on Sprint (Mogul) as of 12-12-08
Hey all,
Just to clarify, I don't use arcsoft to view my incoming pictures (have not even tried, since I think it's quicker just to open the link in the message). I am just RELEIVED that there is a working app that integrates the SEND button into the rom of the phone (or at least takes you to outlook to click on the proper account). Smms was too fancy, and The official sprint release would never open due to 'low memory' So, for quick sending, this works perfect for me. However, the version that I linked to in my OP is from 2005 - there are many newer versions out there (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=404345) but even after updating all of the server info on the newer versions to the same as the working version, the newer versions just won't work. It sends 'correctly' but the messages are never received. Oh well, I am happy with the older version for now, I was just confused as to why the newer ones wouldn't work as well. Oh yea, this version also works (http://rapidshare.com/files/47528882...ntMMS.zip.html) but I think it may be the same as the version I posted above - can anyone compare version numbers? I am unable to at the moment. Glad I could help some of you, Matt! Last edited by KillerQ; 12-13-2008 at 07:19 PM. |

I can vouch, this worked for me as well. I don't have Sprint Picmail installed @ all. |

either way i think its a moot point to continue debating because I will agree it locks up poutlook so that makes arcsoft less than a very useful solution either way

Touch08,
Well, for Mogul users, this seems to be the best solution since the Official MMS release from sprint only loads properly 5% of the time, and SmmS takes many steps to send a pic, and is a rather large program (feature-wise). As I mentioned before Arcsoft is wonderful because and anytime I want, I can hit SEND from a submenue of a picture and have it (arcsoft) pop up instantly! It doesn't lock my outlook at all.... Also, how are you guys getting to the section with the 'stored' incoming pictures within arcsoft? I would like to check that out on my Mogul... Later, Matt! |

Nobody has experience with the newer versions?
Thanks, Matt! |
