6 Attachment(s)
Update 1/16/10
Thanks to iPollesion, VGA has been fixed with reg edits and all! Tested on a Diamond but should work with any VGA device with the same resolution. Download attachment: PandoraVGA with Regs.cab Thanks much iPollesion, and everyone can thank iPollesion here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=104728 Added latest version of pandora.cab v.1.1.10(1) Thanks to SUMCRAZYGUY we have a fix using advanced config... He has outlined everything for you.. YOU CAN THANK HIM ON POST # 795 PLEASE PM ME AND LET ME KNOW IF THIS DOESN'T WORK FOR YOU. Quote:
(6-29-09) bikeandestroyx has created a cab combining Yearn's VGA fix find and IVAN1's playback issues cab!!! Download and install file "VGA+IVAN1 Pandora.cab" at the bottom of this post. You can thank bikeandestroyx on page 78 post# 772 for this! IMPORTANT NOTE: This may not work with all ROMs. (06-17-09) Diamond, Pro and all other VGA users, Our member Yearn has snooped the XDA and found a fix for the WONKY display from xk2600! Though the buttons on the bottom of the screen may be small, atleast the song display looks very appealing now... Download the file VGA-Pandora.zip under this post and replace My Device\Program Files\Pandora\Pandora.exe with the one in the zip and there you'll have it! THANKS Yearn! You guys can thank him on pg.74 post#733 Touch Pro Users, Ivan1_ruiz has Solved your issues!! well atleast one of them :) It has been confirmed multiple times on page 66 and 67 of this thread. Download his pandora file attached to this 1st post called IVAN1-pandora.cab and follow his instructions, here: Quote:
Be sure to thank him on page 66! Sprint Users: Check here http://www.pandora.com/sprint for up-to-date compatible sprint phones straight from pandora.com... so far there are 20 sprint phones that are compatible, but only 2 are smartphone/pocket pc's (6900 and moto Q9C) which i think is kind of ridiculous considering the fact that 99% of Windows mobile users will have an Internet/Data plan and Others usually do not... Ugh. Ok so i've tested this on a mogul and it works great... some over at xda say that it doesn't work for them( i have a feeling its cuz of VGA), but most say it does! i have my diamond packed away ready for sale so i will not test this on it Give it a shot, and if someone with VGA can test, that would be awesome! i've attached the cab... Please inform me on how it works with your device! heres how it looks on http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...dorascreen.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...l/tpscreen.jpg http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...dor240x240.jpg QVGA(240x320)..................................... ..... And the 'Wonky' VGA (480x640)......................................... ...........240x240(like 700wx) http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c2...niapandora.jpg Omnia 240x400 (thanks Syrguy) Don't worry VGA buds, yotoad has posted D-pad workings up - list of stations center button - play/pause left / right - back/forward down - contextual menu specific to song Devices and possible issues: On all devices, it seems the sound quality isn't the greatest (32k-64k ish) but this is a big step in getting this program on our phones, so give it time Touch(6900): Works great "i have an official 6.1 upgrade from htc for my touch and it works great"(davidrules7778) Mogul: My test: boot-up display is a little off (M2DROM), but everything is perfect after that Apache 6700: everything works, but Skips to next song if u lose signal momentarily(psiphi) 700wx(WM5): "works perfect" (Cozboogie) 800w: when u press down on the dpad it turns down the volume and u can't get it go back up unless u exit out of the app(dannzeman) Diamond: "Open Keyboard first(or map kb to button), then launch program. WORKS! but display is a little wonky" (bigggant) Touch Pro: Use SUMCRAZYGUY's fix Omnia: at the point you need to create an account/sign in, it covers the bottom bar and doesn't kick in the keyboard(load kb before program or map kb to button)(Syrguy1969) Samsung I760: Works Great! AT&T Tilt: Works Great Credit also going out to the guys at XDA and pjsnyc for bringing it over here yesterday and i failed to search before posting! my bad Pandora.zip is version 1.0.25 Pandora.cab is updated version 1.1.4 (thanks gammaray-poster- and boggsie-version verifier-) |

Should have merged them, or moved one of them over here instead and closed this one. |
Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
1 Attachment(s)
kind of funky on my touch pro, but it works really well with the D-Pad
up - list of stations center button - play/pause left / right - back/forward down - contextual menu specific to song |
Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
Even if the threads are closed the information is still there. Since this is confirmed to be working lets start off fresh and move forward.

Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
My mistake for originally posting the pandora file in the titan forum instead of the software forums. My reason being is that i thought since a hardware keyboard was required to input text on pandora, (maybe there's a work-around to use the onscreen keyboard) titan users would find it more functional. Thanks for moving the discussion to where it belongs coz.

Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
I installed it on my Omnia, and it seems to install and start to run fine, but at the point you need to create an account/sign in, it covers the bottom bar and doesn't kick in the keyboard, so I don't have any way of entering data!! I'll play around with settings when I have more time, but that is the first impression!!

Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
Okay.. next logical question. How do I get this to output line out instead of headphones..
in other words.. pre amp out. |

Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
Okay, there must be some issue with my phone, because this is the 3rd or 4th program in recent memory that I've been unable to use with the screen off, while others have claimed it works.
I'm using a Sprint Touch with Slide2Unlock (which I'm thinking could be the culprit). When I push the button on top to turn off the screen, the sound stops. I'm thinking that could be the norm and I just shouldn't actively turn off the screen. However, if I leave Pandora running, the screen dims after 30 seconds, but won't turn off completely ever. So I guess I can use it that way, but it sucks that the battery will be drained faster because the screen is still on. When I press the button to turn the screen off and the sound stops, if I press the button again, the screen turns on, displaying the slide2unlock screen, and the sound starts again. Now the screen will actually turn off on its own after 30 seconds. When that happens, the sound stops for about 1 second, then it starts up again, giving me hope. But then after about 5-10 seconds, it stops again completely. Any thoughts? Is this normal behavior, or is there something I need to do to my phone so that either (a) pushing the button to turn off the screen lets the sound continue to play, or (b) the screen will shut off completely on its own after a set length of time while pandora is running and the sound will continue to play? Thanks. |

Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
Another thing I forgot to add is that I seem to be getting disconnected near the end of every song. It gives me a "connecting" message and after a few seconds it connects and a new song starts. Not that big of a deal, but it'd be nice to be able to here an entire song.
Once a song starts playing, I haven't had any skipping or issues with playback, which is cool, until it gets near the end. |

I'm using a usb-to-3.5mm adapter for the headphones. Would that cause the phone to not realize headphones are connected? |

look into the Moto T505 for your car (call and music through your speakers wirelessly) and i picked up a pair of insignia bt headphones off ebay brand new for 15 bucks, work AWESOME with both of those, there are no issues whatsoever |
Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
I noticed a problem where the program wouldn't close and I have to soft-reset my phone turn off the music.

Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
Works well but not really usable in VGA because of the incredibly tiny buttons. Is anyone working on trying to hack this into VGA graphics?

Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
Having one small problem with it on my 800w - when I press down on the dpad it turns down the volume and I can't get it go back up unless I exit out of the app and open it again.

Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
I have a sprint touch and it after I log in it says, "We're experiencing network difficulties. please try agian later." Has anyone got this to work on the touch or anyone else having this problem.

Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
Apparently - noone here uses search.
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...4&postcount=33 Perhaps we should merge threads? |

Re: PANDORA for WM is HERE!
Surprised no one has mentioned sound quality... sounds pretty crummy to me.. Is there a quality adjustment I'm missing? also is there a volume adjustment in the program? mine is low even though main volume is up..
