Turning Off Text Visuals

I have sms chat and i need to turn off the feature that shows the actual text when one comes through. does anyone know where to turn this feature off either on sms chat or windows 6.1? i just want them to be hidden until i go into the program and see them.

Turn off notifications in SMS Chat and display message on screen in the device settings.
