A company called Mobileyes has released a program for both Windows Mobile Professional and Windows Mobile Standard that shows you all the traffic cameras in your area... I posted the link to the review below...

They have Houston, Detroit, Indianapolis, Los Angles, New York, Tennessee, Washington D.C. Connecticut, and Kansas City for now...

this isnt working well for me at all...i downloaded the fox59 link...(indianapolis) all the cameras across town have link for them inside the program...but im getting a 1-2 second feed ova and ova and ova again...its not a live feed as it suppose to be...obviously we all live in different cities and are going to have different results...so either this app still needs some tweaking all together...or the indianapolis program does...

You'd have thought that with this story being written by one of our own (Malatesta) that we would have heard about it before the "official" story. Hopefully they will add more cities soon.

yea this is a no go for me for right now...ill try it again if and when a new version or update comes...i like the idea of this...just doesnt work well....not the indianapolis one atleast....along with this what would be great is if we could watch the crime watch cameras across town also...not sure if these are in other cities...but in indy they have cameras at the top of the light polls in bad neighborhoods...be neeat to be able to log on and watch a live view of the camera lol

Hey all,

I am gonna give it a shot now. You would think, however, that they would have the download locations a little more clear on their website - i had to read the linking url to figure out which city I was clicking on....heh.

Wow - this is way more thorough than I expected (Detroit). I love it! I'll try and use it during my Holiday scramble in the next few days. However, some of the cameras are covered in ice this morning!

Hey,

Look a few posts up - I addressed this issue. Just hover your cursor over the icon and look at the corresponding target link... It will list the city in the URL.

Anyone get this to work on a touch pro? BigDiesel? You didn't mention if you downloaded it and that it worked for you. I hope so - I live in NY and this would be GREAT. I'm totally new to ppc's so forgive the ignorance. They didn't list it as one of the phones it works on.

I have it installed in my TP & it works fine although there are no cameras anywhere near where I live.

I do have eight different cams in my area reading in Weather Panel however.....

too bad I live in hawaii. It sure would be useful though, you wouldn't believe a 15 min drive can turn into an hour and a half with bad traffic... especially on an island. downtown honolulu is the pits.
