Re: Urban Spoon

That's only if their menu is on urbanspoon.com, you could just open up your web browser, go to urbanspoon.com, type your location, and choose a restaurant. Google maps also has reviews.

Bro, Live search tells you the same darn thing....most places have ratings...as google maps does as well if I remember right....personally, if you want an IPhoney app that da#$ bad...well, hey, go get yourself an IPhone an join the kiddie group of phone users...Im not tryin to be rude here, but sheesh guys...I hear a lot of people talk about "oh I want this app and that app and the ijunk this and icrap that"...well, hey, if its that special and you don't want to contribute to one of the many many great developers here on this site then get rid of your apparently useless to you WinMo phone and buy into the mindless junk that apple and ATT sells....Thanks for reading my two cents...

I personally wouldn't use Urban Spoon for WM, but I would love a Bank of America app. I would of used that app where you can take a picture of the text book cover and see who has the lowest prices, but I graduated this past week, so nvm.

It's just some iPhone apps aren't useful and don't have any more functionality than a WM app/phone, but it's the novelty and fun that makes them popular. I would ONLY switch for the apps, but I'm still here, so that tells you something.

And if you'd switch you'd go broke buying the apps. lol.
And if you take a pic of the cover of the book,
flip it over, get the isbn, go to google, type it in, guaranteed you'd end up finding a cheaper deal.
I buy mine for like a quarter of the price my college's bookstore sells used,
and then sell them back when they do book buy back and make money.

I would go broke, no doubt. I'm very frustrated with the Microsoft since they have such a superior product 9/10 times but they don't make it as user friendly/straight forward or "pretty" as Apple, so they loose some business to them.

But, what I did for books when I was in school was a mix between not buying the book completly (sometimes the school library had it and sometimes I did horrible in the class), using the ISBN # for Amazon, or checking an off-campus book store that I made friends with the owner and he hooked me up. Awww, memories.

But since I moved to a new place recently, Urban Spoon would be a lot of use right about now, and I have always hated WindowsLive or Bing! or whatever they are calling it. It's ugly and hard to use. I expect better from Microsoft.

Agreed, the GUI on Google Maps is much easier to navigate and the maps look a ton better, this is coming from someone who creates/works with maps for a living, the right look/feel of a map makes all the difference.

Just sad that we can't find random stuff like on Urban Spoon, places you otherwise never knew to search for in Google maps unless your buddy told you or you p***** by. Often times some of the best places to eat are off the beaten path. Tragic.

for that reason the app would be nice.
but other than that I see no real value for it.
