Zagat to go looks interesting, but a monthly subscription is a deal breaker for me.

vestaviajag, have you tried barcorama? Scans barcodes and searches several sites (froogle, etc...) for prices and whatnot. Not sure how well it works on books but it worked fairly well on the misc items I tried.

how many urban spoon threads are people going to start? Since when have so many people become so brain dead they can't even think of what they want to eat and have to be told by their phone?

Use live search and it will not only show you all the restaurants around your area, it will categorize them for easy searching. God forbid you decide for yourself you're in the mood for Chinese or Mexican food.

one of the good things about urbanspoon which i like over live search is the fact that their are actual ratings for each restaurant of food...service....prices etc. you can even find links to their restaurant menus to preview ahead of time/
